If you claim to be "pro-life", then, according to this study, 10% more
unwanted pregnancies could be avoided by making the morning after pill
over the counter in pharmacies. Besides, only total fanatics think that
a several day old zygote or blastocyst, which has no brain, or ability
to feel actually qualifies as a full human being. Besides, between
2/3rds and 3/4s of these "full human beings" fail to implant naturally.
If the figures in the study held for the US then it could mean over
100,000 less abortions every year.

All well and true, but there's little doubt that the hardcore "pro-lifers"
(as represented by the always-idiotic contingent posting in a.a) are going
to oppose making the 'morning after' pill readily available.
Wimmens might have guilt free sex and actually enjoy it!
No, that wouldn't do at all.

I remember when he ran for Congress, expecting to be swept into office by

justice. He got essentially no votes.

How, you ask?
Here's how:
WASHINGTON (AP) - A Senate committee approved a constitutional amendment
banning same-sex marriage Thursday, after a shouting match that ended when
one Democrat strode out and the Republican chairman bid him "good riddance."
Democrats complained that bringing up the amendment is a purely political
move designed to appeal to the GOP's conservative base in this year of
midterm elections. Under the domed ceiling of the ornate and historic
President's Room off the Senate floor, senators voted 10-8 to send the
measure forward. Not all those who voted "yes" support the amendment,
however. Specter said he is "totally opposed" to it, but felt it deserved a
debate in the Senate.
"Marriage in the United States shall consist only of the union of a man and
a woman," reads the measure, which would require approval by two-thirds of
Congress and three-fourths of the states.
"Neither this Constitution, nor the constitution of any State, shall be
construed to require that marriage or the legal incidents thereof be
conferred upon any union other than the union of a man and a woman," it
says.

Opponents of gay marriage and anti-abortion crackpots: there's your 29%!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday
narrowly passed a fiscal 2007 wartime budget that would continue a string of
large deficits and trigger an increase in government borrowing authority.
A very telling juxtaposition, methinks.

I like the analogy that a zygote is a human being as much as an acorn is an
oak tree! Personally, I believe that the rate of abortion will be reduced
by 50%, as men and women will begin stockpiling the "morning after" pill for
their personal use. It makes sense to use it as a backup, just in case your

Some opponents of the morning after pill believe that it induces
abortion of new fertilized embryos, but embryos aren't always
immediately fertilized following ejaculation; it can take up to three
days before this to happen, plenty of time for the pill to work. Just
saying....

What is an "unwanted pregnancy"?
Don't be so stupid.
But then he could do nothing...
Is he doing anything now?
Yes.
He's hiding, after belatedly discovering that words have meaning.
Doesn't appear to be the case.
One might hope that Johnny will learn from this debacle, but my money is on
'not'.

Only if you consider Johnny being stupid to be legitimately doing
*something*. I consider his stupidity to be worse than nothing.

how.

Where did I ask anyone else? What part of "you" were you too full of yourself
