Abortion the Fault of Christianity |
Often times a young girl gets pregnant while too emotionally immature to
handle the consequences or a pregnancy. The girl has to make choices she
isn't ready to make.
It would help if she could take the problem home. Explain to her parents
what happened. The problem is the girl can't look to the her parents for
love and support. To them her daughter is a sinner for not waiting until
marriage to have sex. Her parents faith won't allow them the compassion
necessary to help her through this crisis.
She's forced to turn to an abortion clinic for help and support. This
wouldn't be necessary if her parents had a more mature, enlightened
perspective. Young girls have to turn to abortion because they can't count
on the people they need the most; their fanatical Jesus Freak parents.
Christianity is second to poverty for the reasons why people have abortions.

Not a child yet. Just a collection of cells that could one day turn into a
child. I doubt it even has a "soul" at that time.

More often than not, this precise problem you outline is NOT
religion-related. More often than not, it is a
parental-responsibility problem, not a parental-religion problem.
Far too many parents aren't willing to discuss sex and its various
consequences with their kids in a manner that would gain the
childrens' understanding. More often than not, this isn't because of
religion at all, but rather personal discomfort or laziness on the
parts of the parents.
But don't let that get in the way of your idiotic anti-religious rant.

Agreed. I know for many parents it's uncomfortable; regardless though,
it's a fact of life.

I think that's their only purpose, to just attack religion. Often
times I think they don't really care about the problem as much as they
do looking for an opportunity to attack religion.

And whose fault is that? I can't speak for all of Christianity, but the LDS
church teaches chastity before marriage, and honor and faithfulness during
marriage.
In other words, a proper LDS person does not have sexual relations until
marriage. And then sex only with ones spouse.
Take your blame game some where else. Your argument is both false and
pathetic.

Joseph Smith was a false prophet and shown to be by the very works he created.
Joseph Smith was a scam artist, looking for power over people. Jesus Christ was
God, putting the relationship with his creation back where it was supposed to
be.

Words can have meaning but they can not be meaning.
Let's use an example from the Bible that I use quite frequently. It
states that the nails were driven through Jesus's hands when he was
crucified. However, we know this can't be true because he would have
fallen right off. The problem is that Aramaic did not have a word for
"wrist". When you read the passage(s) what you are reading isn't true.
It's the closest their language allowed to truth. Near truth isn't the
same as truth the same as a baseball hit to the warning track isn't an
automatic home run.

I know what is true and what
isn't, the bible is true.
And how do you know that Bible is true? And why? Just because the
Bible says that it is true does not make it true, nor does your
unsupported opinion.
The first statement (it is true because I say it is true) is used in
practically every ad campaign, every scam artist and con man, and by
every elected official that has ever existed. Just because someone
says that something is true does not make it true. That is why
objective supporting evidence is looked for and requested, evidence
that does not depend on "faith" or the person's religious beliefs.
After all, why should the Bible be true, and not the Vedas of Hinduism
or the Book of Shadows of the Wiccans? They all have the same level of
evidence to support them.

Nothing contained in the bible has ever been proven false for starters and for a

Not even close and the bible isn't true just because I say it is, millions upon
millions have the same opinion, but even that isn't enough to just say it's
true. The writers of the gospels basically told those around them that they
knew what was being written was true and if not then refute it publically. In

Proven wrong, I said. I've read plenty. If you think something in scripture is
wrong or that it contradicts other scripture, you don't understand scripture.

Nothing in the Silmarrilion has even been proven false. Does that
mean that Middle Earth really existed?
And you haven't proven the Koran false either.

However, you apparently have not read much else, especially things that
do not assume that what the Bible states is automatically true because
the Bible states that it is true.
I know what is true and what
isn't, the bible is true.
And how do you know that Bible is true? And why? Just because the
Bible says that it is true does not make it true, nor does your
unsupported opinion.
Nothing contained in the bible has ever been proven false for
starters
Actually, effectively, it has. There was no world wide flood. There
is no sign that there was a large migration of Hebrews from Egypt. The
world never stopped or reversed its rotation. The order of evolution
in Genesis is mostly backwards. Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
and for a
non-believer the word of God is a stumbling block. It seems to be
working.
However, it is not the job of the non-believer to prove the Bible
false, it is the job of the believer to prove it true. You are trying
to shift the burden of proof, which is a logical fallacy.
The first statement (it is true because I say it is true) is used
in
practically every ad campaign, every scam artist and con man, and
by
every elected official that has ever existed. Just because someone

Hinduism
or the Book of Shadows of the Wiccans? They all have the same
level of

Not even close
Actually, they are. They all have the same level of evidence to
support them, which amounts to myths and legends rather than facts.
and the bible isn't true just because I say it is, millions upon
millions have the same opinion, but even that isn't enough to just
say it's
true.
An accurate statement.
The writers of the gospels basically told those around them that
they
knew what was being written was true and if not then refute it
publically. In
other words they said "prove it" if it isn't so.
A logical fallacy. It is the job of the writers to prove it true, not
everyone else's job to prove them false.
No one ever did or will, but
then they couldn't/can't.
Which is not the point. Nobody has ever proven that the more
outrageous claims and events of the Bible ever happened, and they never
will. It is not the job of others to prove you what you say is false,
it is your job to prove what you say is true.
If nothing else Jesus Christ changes lives, plain and simple.
So does BUddha, Vishnu, the Goddess, and every other deity.
IF you really
want to know if this is true or not, ask him and not me.
What is his phone number? He is not posting, but you are. And how can
I ask someone that only exists in your imagination anything?
