A twenty-five-year old woman bled to death on Wednesday after she got an =
abortion at a doctor's clinic in Jetpur. Her body was brought to the SSG =

Ray? It has nothing to do with whether a woman has a right to an abortion at all. It is about not
putting your own personal possessions above those of other peoples. It is about being generous, and

1/10 that of childbirth, and has been for years. Women die far more
often in childborth than in abortion.

is the highest it had been in almost a decade. The average number of
deaths per year for 1991 - 2000 is 8.

40% decrease in number of abortions performed, not an increase in the
number of deaths.
In there report on pregnancy related mortality, the CDC states in the
overview that there were 525 pregnancy related deaths in 1999, and the
average mortality rate was 12 per 100,000 for the period of 1991 -
1999.

Therefore, continuing a pregnancy to term is significantly more
dangerous to the woman than getting an abortion. Therefore, the
decision should be hers, since she is the one at risk, not yours.

Your determination sounds metaphysical to me. To me, an abortion *always*
results in the death of a person, and the one described above resulted in the
death of *two*.
Truthfully, that rarely happens. Two people dying during childbirth is a much
more common occurance. To remain morally consistent, I advocate that we do not
terminate life until life is threatened. A normal pregancy does not threaten
life.

Nonsense. Murder is a specific term with specific requirements, one
