Alito Says Thank You; Liberals Cry Foul |

nothing they can do about it.

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito is the subject of controversy for sending
a thank-you note to Focus on the Family Founder and Chairman Dr. James
Dobson.
But that controversy appears to have been ginned up by the same liberal
activists who opposed the recently confirmed justice's nomination to the
high court.
Barry Lynn, who heads Americans United for the Separation of Church and
State, and Ralph Neas, executive director of People for the American Way,
said they were outraged that Alito sent Dobson this letter:
"Dear Dr. Dobson -
This is just a short note to express my heartfelt thanks to you and the
entire staff at Focus on the Family for your help and support during the
past few, challenging months. I would also greatly appreciate it if you
would convey my appreciation to the good people from all parts of the
country who wrote to tell me that they were praying for my and for my family
during this period."
Repeating what he said at last month's White House investiture ceremony,
Alito wrote "the prayers of so many people from around the country were a
palpable and powerful force."
He added: "As long as I serve on the Supreme Court, I will keep in mind the
trust that has been placed in me."

On the contrary, there's lots that can be done about it.
Let them overturn RvW. Republicans will lose control of the
government. Laws will change.
