Associate Supreme Court Justice Hillary Clinton (?) |
God help us all!
http://headlines.agapepress.org/archive/11/102006h.asp
....A Virginia-based pro-family activist says he disagrees with the
traditional wisdom that Senator Hillary Clinton will seek the White House in
2008. The political observer believes the former first lady has her sights
on another objective. With the midterm elections now out of the way, Joe
Glover of the Family Policy Network expects the attention to now turn to the
2008 presidential sweepstakes. Glover is convinced the junior senator from
New York really wants a seat on the Supreme Court, which makes decisions
that are not overturned when a president leaves office. He says when the
high court hands down "landmark" decisions, those decisions have
"longstanding impacts on generations" to come. The FPN president claims to
have seen some subtle evidence of Mrs. Clinton's plans. "You look at the
friends she's making," he notes: "[It's a] funny thing -- they're all on the
Judiciary Committee on the Republican side of the aisle." He sees that as a
clear indication of preparation for seeking a chair in the Supreme Court.
"She doesn't want to go to the White House," he adds. Glover says a Supreme
Court seat would allow Clinton to make decisions without having to fight
Congress -- and would protect her from the constant scrutiny of the media.

I can understand playing this game for a few days, a few weeks even,

Has he gotten his license back yet? I know his suspension for contempt
ended earlier this year, but I haven't heard much about it.
Can he serve on the SCOTUS if he is barred from arguing cases in their
court (which he is)?
Has any SCOTUS Justice ever had their license suspended prior to their
getting a seat?

Anybody can be a supreme court justice. The only qualifications are
nomination by the president and confirmation by the senate.

I don't know how good he would be at it but the explosion of right winger
heads at the mere suggestion would be worth it...

<LOL!> Is Glover one of those pesky illegals we keep hearing about? Too
bothered with making a living to realize that there's something known as
a Confirmation Hearing? Too illiterate to know that the Supreme Court
has it's every ruling analyzed and reported seven ways from Sunday the
moment the gavel falls?
Is he so out of the loop within his own organization to know that they
harp on the Supreme Court at the drop of a hat, and constantly wring
their hands -- in prayer mind -- over the "what if" question of another
Justice leaving while the shrub is still in office?
"HR... Paging HR... There's a blubbering idiot on the payroll..."
Um. Wait...
Nevermind.
