Bill makes killing a pregnant woman at any stage a double slaying |
The Georgia legislature should take matters one step further; killing only
the pre-born child at any stage should also constitute homicide.

Bill makes killing a pregnant woman at any stage a double slaying
A woman uses a test at home and finds that she is pregnant. Later in the
day, she is shot to death. Has one person been killed - or two?
That question is one Georgia lawmakers are likely to debate soon.
Bills in the House and headed for the Senate would change Georgia's feticide
laws to allow for the prosecution of anyone who causes the death of an
unborn child, regardless of the stage of pregnancy.
"I consider a fetus to be a person, and you're killing two people," said
Sen. Renee Unterman (R-Buford), who plans to push a Senate bill aimed at
changing the state's feticide laws. "So you should be punished for killing
two people."

Ah yes, the "enslave women" conspiracy theory.. an overused strawman.
that's the company line from the mispogynist side, anyway.

that is the anti-choice, misogynist statement from a creep who thinks

• Chortle. So if a woman serial killer, who is on death row, cannot be
legally executed as long as she manages to stay pregnant? What next, a
law mandating a pregnancy test on the scheduled day of execution?

Bill makes killing a pregnant woman at any stage a double slaying
A woman uses a test at home and finds that she is pregnant. Later in the
day, she is shot to death. Has one person been killed - or two?
That question is one Georgia lawmakers are likely to debate soon.
Bills in the House and headed for the Senate would change Georgia's
feticide
laws to allow for the prosecution of anyone who causes the death of an
unborn child, regardless of the stage of pregnancy.
"I consider a fetus to be a person, and you're killing two people," said
Sen. Renee Unterman (R-Buford), who plans to push a Senate bill aimed at
changing the state's feticide laws. "So you should be punished for killing
two people."

Not going to happen. A crime needs two parts - a motive, and an action.
The action is the actual killing - you can't get a full blown murder
charge without killing someone (you could get an attempted murder
charge for trying though).
Secondly, you need a motive. If I were to step on some water and fall
down some stairs into someone, causing them to fall and die it wouldn't
be murder (although possibly recklessness or something similar
depending upon what I was doing).
If someone kills someone, and they didn't know that they were pregnant,
where is the motive in the baby's "murder"?

Not to start a big debate, but whether you kill 1 person or 2... "Thou shalt

allowed to kill. It means: no killing and that's final

First, why should anyone else be forced to accept or follow your
beliefs since we have Freedom of Religion in this country?
Second, your interpretation is easy to prove a lie, or at least not in
line with what the Bible says. Dueteronomy and Leviticus contain many
things that warrent the death penalty. And Joshua, Moses's chosen
successor, immediately went to war and started attacking the
surrounding cities and tribes and wiping them out.
Therefore, given that it was the same people that wrote the Ten
Commandments that also wrote the laws for the Hebrews, and the next
generation after than that went to war, it is unlikely that the
commandment that you are referring to actually means what you think it
means.

Moses was not perfect remember. God actually punished him due to the
complaints of God's people, and Moses was only ordered by God to lead the
people to the promise land. Not kill people. And so, God told Moses that

overlooking it instead.

It does not say "Thou shall not kill". It is obviously a poor

penalties in their laws and genocidal wars that were engaged in.
What I meant by the content of my opinion was that killing is wrong no

Then you must hate the Bible, since people are killed in it at the
command of your hypocritical imaginary deity all the time.
However, in the case of abortion, nobody is killed. What's more, women

support for something if they do not willingly consent to it, and
continue giving their consents.

My diety? lol... you already got me judged as someone else!
Look, in my opinion, there is only 1 God. There might be many religions that

Look, in my opinion, there is only 1 God.
And? Do you have any objective evidence that any deity exists?
There might be many religions that
are there to try and decipher God, or if you prefer: our Creator.
Actually, if you prefer. Where have I indicated that I follow any
religion?
But that fact is that all religions have a common trend, and that is to
create law and order.
Wrong. All religions and deities were created by man to try to make
sense out of a universe that he did not understand and that frightened
him.
And yes, I know that mankind has a habbit of having
different interpretations.
Not really. Most of the anthropomorphisms (SP?) are actually quite
similar.
I am roman catholic by the way,
My condolences. Is that your excuse for trying to force your beliefs
onto others?
and so I have no so called 'diety'.
Yes, you do. You admit that you do in the next sentence.
This
means, I believe in God and Jesus Christ. Ok? thanks for coming out!
You just showed that your last statement was a lie, or this one was.
Which is it? Your first statement says you do not follow any deities,
and the next says you follow two. And I know of at least one more
major deity in your parthenon. And as a Roman Catholic, you have a
bunch of demigods as well.

Mark Sebree. Having trouble reading? I signed my name to my post.
Where in the commandent "thou shalt not kill" does it say "thou shalt not
kill..... 10 people max."... "thou shalt not kill.... 20 people max".
It does not say "Thou shall not kill". It is obviously a poor
translation. Especially when taken in context of all the death
penalties in their laws and genocidal wars that were engaged in.
What I meant by the content of my opinion was that killing is wrong no
matter how big or little someone may kill.
Then you must hate the Bible, since people are killed in it at the
command of your hypocritical imaginary deity all the time.
However, in the case of abortion, nobody is killed. What's more, women
are not slaves, and you cannot force them to act as incubators and life
support for something if they do not willingly consent to it, and
continue giving their consents.
By the way, top posting is considered to be bad form and poor
netiquette.

First, why should anyone else be forced to accept or follow your

Second, your interpretation is easy to prove a lie, or at least not in
line with what the Bible says. Dueteronomy and Leviticus contain many
things that warrent the death penalty. And Joshua, Moses's chosen
successor, immediately went to war and started attacking the
surrounding cities and tribes and wiping them out.
Therefore, given that it was the same people that wrote the Ten
Commandments that also wrote the laws for the Hebrews, and the next
generation after than that went to war, it is unlikely that the
commandment that you are referring to actually means what you think it
means.

Bill makes killing a pregnant woman at any stage a double slaying
A woman uses a test at home and finds that she is pregnant. Later in
the
day, she is shot to death. Has one person been killed - or two?
That question is one Georgia lawmakers are likely to debate soon.
Bills in the House and headed for the Senate would change Georgia's
feticide
laws to allow for the prosecution of anyone who causes the death of
an
unborn child, regardless of the stage of pregnancy.
"I consider a fetus to be a person, and you're killing two people,"
said
Sen. Renee Unterman (R-Buford), who plans to push a Senate bill
aimed
at
changing the state's feticide laws. "So you should be punished for
killing
two people."

Then that's the deity you believe in, moron. He hasn't got you
confused - that was a remarkably stuoid thing to say.
What "our Creator"? Demostrate that there actually is one before
talking about it as thoughthere were.
There are zillions of different deity-BELIEFS out there. Not just
yours. And until demonstrated otherwise they are ALL OF THEM just
beliefs.
But that fact is that all religions have a common trend, and that is to
create law and order. And yes, I know that mankind has a habbit of having

Then why don't they? Of course this imaginary law and order only
applies to their own followers - who don't obey it.

Thank you for admitting it's merely a belief.
Now stop insulting us by talking about it as thoug it were real.
