I wanna know why a gain in states that usually vote Republican anyway
matters? I mean, there's a reason that even though I live just outside
DC, I don't see much in the way of campaign ads or visits. Virginia
almost always votes Republican, DC and Maryland almost always vote
Democrat. The only way either party gaining votes in these states is
going to make a difference is if there's a drastic gain from the
traditionally minority party, which we haven't seen yet.
The swing states are the ones where the numbers really matter and Bush,
despite a "modest" gain, is still behind there. So tell me again who's
in trouble?

There is one fact that shows more than all of the "eye witnesses". At
a distance of less than half the length of a football field, the VC
failed to hit Kerry's boat, a boat that was 50 feet long. It is pretty
obvious that there was no one shooting back from the shore. Kerry
probably confused Swift Boat firing with enemy fire.
