"When I hear this coming from ***** Cheney, who was a coward, who would not
serve during the Vietnam War, it makes my blood boil," Harkin said. "Those of
us who served and those of us who went in the military don't like it when
someone like a ***** Cheney comes out and he wants to be tough. Yeah, he'll be
tough. He'll be tough with somebody else's blood, somebody else's kids. But
not when it was his turn to go."

Just nitpicking here, but plenty of non-cowardly people actively
avoided military service during the Vietnam War. Cheney is a
hypocrite here; not necessarily a coward.
A fucking hypocrite, but not necessarily a coward.
A weasely, dishonest, fucking hypocrite, but not necessarily a coward.
I like the part about "being tough with someone else's blood", though.

thing when he was busy turning Yugoslavia into a pile of rubble with
78 days non-stop bombing! I like that about Harkin. Straight arrow

Me, too! I feel quite confident Harkin made a similar observation
about Bubba when he was busy bombing Yugoslavia into a giant pile of
glass and creating hundreds of thousands of instant refugees over
there. I'll have to google up that quote. I'm sure I missed it.
