Object: China to Make Sex-Selective Abortions a Crime
BEIJING (Reuters) - China is to outlaw the selective abortion of female
fetuses to correct an imbalance in the ratio of boys to girls that has grown
since the one-child policy was introduced more than 20 years ago.
Government figures show 119 boys are born in the world's most populous
country for every 100 girls, but Beijing has set the goal of reversing the
imbalance by 2010, state media reported.
China implemented the one-child policy in the early 1980s to curb its
massive population - which officially hit 1.3 billion on Thursday - but the
restrictions have bolstered a traditional preference for baby boys.

I suppose that with a 19% surplus of males vs. females, a "little central
planning" was in order. <g>
LC~ Predicts *alot* of competition for dates amongst Chinese men in the

It's a self-correcting problem, although the self-correction is
unlikely to be to the liking of male Chinese :)

Then it's too late. You can't undo 20 years of this demographic change
- that's an entire generation.
China's future is really really screwed up, and we have the scumbags
in the Communist Party, UNFPA and IPPF to thank for it.

China's population wasn't/isn't too large. The commie scumbags just
need to control it to control society.

Which will come to nothing for many. There's simply not enough women.
Let's hope millions of young men with little to live for take it out
on their own leaders instead of the expected result of much greater
likelihood of wars... (unlikely considering Communist China's past
warring against its neighbours)

As opposed to you pro-lie scumbags who think that liberty is so bad
that it should be stamped out and people should be forced to do as you
say?
Notice that you now approve of a dictatorship's solution.
