David Barnes has been posting my state e-mail in a public newsgroup
without
my permission. He has also posted a warden's and a deputy warden's state
e-mail, without their knowledge and/or their permission. They are aware
of
it now though.
Posting an e-mail in a newsgroup invites spam, which is why most people
use
a false e-mail address.

I have stated to Mr. Barnes that I do not wish to have that e-mail address
posted and if any spam comes to my e-mail, he will be held responsible for
this.
He has ignored that request, in fact posting it several more times and
even
telling people to sign me up for things.

Unfortunately Adam H. followed that advice and he went to several websites
and signed up that e-mail address.

What Adam is not aware of is the filtering system our state e-mail goes
through, and that I had already gotten in contact with local authorities,
including our department I.A.
My e-mail account is now monitored.
They have Mr. Barnes post, including Ray Fischer, Louise Mallord, and
Patrick Humphrey

The one that stands to get in the most trouble right now is Adam and Mr.
Barnes.

So Adam had signed it up and a few of those sites tried to send automatic
messages to my state e-mail address.
This sent up a flag for MIS, who is observing the activity.
Not only did they get a flag, but they got the identity of who signed the
e-mail address up.
It came with the IP Address

The e-mail doesn't come to me, it's blocked immediately and MIS sends me
an
e-mail letting me know there has been some activity. Unless it comes from
another state e-mail user, I don't see it.

Adam H. has been positively identified as the person responsible.

I will respond to this just this once and then let it lie, I think.

I did not send any message. I have no interest in forging email spam.
I can't speak to the log entries. Rogers has not contacted me
concerning this matter but I will deal with them if/when they do.

You have made a serious accusation based on an IP address, osprey. I
hope that you remember the posts under my name that came from your IP
and treat them with equal seriousness. If your MIS team wants to
contact me then they can write to ahotchin@rogers.com.
