People often say, rhetorically, "How can any just God allow the evil that
happens to innocents to occur". I guess they are ignorant of The Bible's
description of human beings. The Bible says that people are vile, so maybe
God allows evil to happen to humans because (as it says in The Bible)man
does not deserve any better. People really don't like to truly acknowledge
and accept this . The bottom line, is, in rhetorical form
Q: How evil/wicked/foul/vile are humans?
A: So much so, that they kill their own babies.
I guess that says a lot. Mike.

It says a lot about your lack of thought, for sure -- assuming your alleged
deity exists, he created us (so says the Babble)...so obviously he's not quite
the benevolent deity you want people to believe he is. Got any other idiotic
assertions you need debunked?

Here is number three of the people who can't argue their way out of a paper

just make facts up.
QUESTION Where in my post which you replied to, or in ANY of my posts, did I
say that God is benevolent? I didn't even assert that God Almighty exists,
although YOU said I did. WTF are you talking about? Are you knowingly making
false statements, or are you just not too sharp mentally? Is it perhaps
something else? Mike.
PS debunk this assertion Whoever is the person making statements on this

You're the schmuck dragging the Christian deity into it, and you obviously
couldn't care less about your lack of logic in making your argument, whatever
it may be. "I guess they are ignorant of The Bible's description of human
beings." -- you said it, and it's no great effort to infer you're using it as

less than stellar record in showing concern for humanity when it interferes
with the church's power over the rest of us.

I consider it a lie, because you don't believe it is true.

How do you know that? Perhaps he has a reason for this position. Why
should what you consider matter?

Since you

That is a circular argument. Can you prove Ray does not in fact think

It just broke $2.00/gallon (87 octane) here, 93/94 octane is nearly
$2.40 a gallon. At these prices, I can't wait for the spring thaw when
I can break out the motorcycle and enjoy 40 miles/gallon again (give or
take a few miles depending on driving conditions). The problem is,
until the spring thaw, my wife and I are driving vehicles that get 15
to 20 MPG (city driving). I like the comfort of a little bigger
vehicle, so I guess I'm going to have to pay for it. *sigh*

YIKES!!! And I've been griping about the $1.81 I've been
paying in Iowa... up from $1.53 only about 4 or 5 weeks ago!

That's on the low-end of the spectrum.
http://www.gaspricewatch.com/usgas_index.asp

I pay about $2 around here.

$2.80 in some parts of California.

*sigh*

Well - at least you got that $60 tax cut from the Republicans.

Osprey claims it approached $2.00 under President Clinton. Here is

an

article from a year ago.

Who the hell believes anything Asspry says?

True.

A few weeks ago, I paid $1.47 at a Macon, GA station that
made the national news a couple of days later, as being the nation's
lowest-priced gas station. My brother (who lives in JAX, Florida)
stopped there a couple of days ago and said it was up to $1.66.
(Georgia typically -- due to its low taxes on gas -- has the best
gasoline prices in the nation.)

A couple of weeks ago, you could find regular for $1.639 (US) at a few Diamond
Shamrocks in the southwest metro here (oddly enough, they were clustered
around 6 south of the Harris/Fort Bend county line), and tonight the cheapest
Dale and I saw was $1.819 at a Conoco/Phillips along the I-10 Katy. It can
get a lot worse than that, though, as some locations along the major freeways
are going for $1.959 for regular...and that's with having more than a few
refineries less than 20 miles away over on the east edge of the city limits
along the Ship Channel.

Damn... I'll have to do the math. It might be more economical for me to
drive down to Georgia and fill up... and I'm in NY. :)

It's been mid-range here. We're right at the CA-AZ-NV border, and
everyone's been coming over to the Arizona side to buy. Phoenix is
probably higher.
