You are going to see the "gay issue" become a big part of the Right
Wing Agenda in the next year. The reason: The Republicans have gotten
us into war without justification, turned out to be outright dishonest,
placed those who protect our county in danger for political gain, cut
the legs out from under veterans, and just plain committed treason.
BUT, you can always count on the Right Wing to forget all that if they
can vote against gays. It is the rule of the Right. "Give the morons
someone to hate and they will vote Republican every time."

Excellent. Sounds like people are finally starting to wake up to the
Republican agenda and showing them the door. Now if it will just hold
for another year so Bush will have to face a Democratic Congress, and
three more so that we can get someone into the White House that will
work to fix the damage that has been done to this nation over the past
5 years (8 by the election).

Sorry, while the Patriot Act does have some issues, it's time we started
making changes for the overall protection of this country. And you will not
find many Republicans OR DEMOCRATS wanting to get rid of the Patriot
Act...make changes..yes..get rid of..no way.

So that's not a solution.

Make the government open again.

Balance the budget and start repaying the

massive debts that Bush &Co. have added to what was left for them.

Fraid you need to talk to the treasure and feds about that..they control the

NECESSARY TIMES WHEN THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO SPEND. It's partly what got us

Be that as it may, with how our constitution is set up..the POLITICS END
AFTER THE NOMINATION AND THE JUDGE IS APPROVED.

Get rid of DOMA. Restore prisoners' rights, particularly
ones that are captured as a result of military action, as well as
formally condemn torture. Clean up the FDA, so that it can do its job
without the political pressure that Bush has put on it. Work to
formalize homosexuals' right to marry, just like the heterosexuals do.
Confirm and strengthen reproductive rights. And so on.

So far you have given a list..but NO SOLUTIONS OR HOW YOU THINK THEY WILL BE
ACCOMPLISHED.

On the issue of homosexuals rights to marry...just how do you plan on a
"president" getting this done without the USSC getting involved and DEFINING
MARRIAGE?

What Amendment covers "reproductive" rights?
