Economy has been moving in the wrong direction |
As usual, Osprey has been shooting his mouth off about things he knows
nothing about. He hopes to claim the economy is, somehow, doing as
well under Bush as Clinton. (He used to claim it is better under Bush,
but even HE knows that will never sell at this point.)
According to public opinion polls, most Americans feel the U.S. economy
has been moving in the wrong direction. Indeed, an analysis of several
important economic indicators shows they're right.
Rather than accepting some Right Wing hated filled guards opinion,
consider the opinions of economists Robert D. Atkinson and Julie Hutto.
As they put it: "In apples-to-apples comparisons of annualized data,
these indicators of the country's economic well-being show mostly
negative change during President George W. Bush's administration,
compared to mostly positive change during President Bill Clinton's
administration."

LOL! Yeah.
As a shareholder in this corporation, I get a little miffed when I
discover that the top executive is using his power and privilege to
molest the young, low-paid help. Most universities and corporations
have rules about that, and so does the Pentagon. Why not the
Whitehouse?
Clinton was the boss. Would you tolerate him borrowing money or
accepting other special favors from "consenting adults?"
Whey are you oblivious?

LOL! Yeah.
As a shareholder in this corporation, I get a little miffed when I
discover that the top executive is using his power and privilege to
molest the young, low-paid help.
According to "Monica" that didn't happen here. In fact, she threw
herself on him. Why believe she was taken advantage of?
Most universities and corporations
have rules about that, and so does the Pentagon. Why not the
Whitehouse?
I don't know, but they don't. I don't believe he took advantage of
her. He was a scoundrel, but nothing more.
Clinton was the boss. Would you tolerate him borrowing money or
accepting other special favors from "consenting adults?"
Boss or not, it appears that they both consented and were more than
capable of making that decision.
Whey are you oblivious?
I'm not. I just have trouble accepting the idea that anyone really
feels this is important. Clinton did a great job. Bush is responsible
for the deaths of hundreds of thousands, the economy is weak and the
deficit deep, he tends to the wealthy at the expense of the needy. But
I am supposed to judge Clinton because he received a ***** from a
consenting adult? I don't think so.
All people are hypocrites, to a certain degree. But the degree of
hypocrisy that goes on with those who find Bush's acts acceptable but
Clinton's act unacceptable is shocking. Clinton could get elected
again today. And ***** or not, he was a great president while Bush
is despicable.

Ah yes, the assumption that it's always the man's fault. Women are

ones who need to be protected.
Equal rights is dead because women don't want equal responsibility.

Who needs sexual harassment lawsuits, anyway?
Apparently the Republicans.
But this
whole sexual harassment thing of Slick's doesn't compare to the
sale of a few first-rate pardons, eh?
Or those murders he was responsible for, right whack job?
Did I say anything about that? Hmm, let me think. No, I didn't.
What I said was he sold a few pardons. That isn't even controversial.
It's public record. It's obvious that's what happened, though nothing
illegal was neccesarily done. Ethical is a different question. Come
on, Party-line Apparatchik. Even Bill Maher thought it was sleazy.

I am so sick and tired of this "girl" nonsense. She was an adult --a
young and stupid adult (like that's a crime)--when she consented to
giving that man a *****.
Funny how she's always said that *SHE* came on to him.
And Slick couldn't say "no"? What a moron! If he were the CEO
of a corporation I was on the board of, I'd lobby to have him fired for
that.
I guess that is why he ran for President instead.

I'm still chuckling at the "Chestnut" line.

You lie, it is not "a matter of public record" that he *SOLD* pardons.
He's been out of office for 5 years and he still owns you. Clinton's
pardons were less unethical / corrupt than the pardons 41 handed out to
cover his ***** for Iran/Contra.

Ah, yes, the great pundit Bill (libertarian) Maher. Who gives a *****
what "entertainers" say? You have no "there" there and none of it
excuses W from being a corrupt, power mad, vile creature.

You're inability to recognize that I did recognize the ridicule noted,
and this was my all-too-subdued response.
That means you currently have two moron points. Soon you
will have enough to get a big bag of M & Ms.
What I said was he sold a few pardons. That isn't even controversial.

Okay: bartered, if you're going to be a semantic purist. Clinton bartered
a few pardons.
He's been out of office for 5 years and he still owns you.
He owns me? Haven't you heard of the emancipation proclamation?
Clinton's pardons were less unethical / corrupt than the pardons 41 handed
out to cover his ***** for Iran/Contra.
I don't know. Those were over a policy dispute with Congress. Clinton's
were just for personal gain, kind of like how Hillary made sure there
wouldn't
be a Universal Health Care system for a good long time, just so she could
sell short on some Aetna stocks.

Ah, yes, the great pundit Bill (libertarian) Maher.
He calls himself that because he favors legalizing drugs, prostitution, etc.
But he's just a liberal. And a big fan of Slick's too.
Who gives a ***** what "entertainers" say?
Politics _is_ just a branch of showbiz, after all.
You have no "there" there and none of it excuses W from being a corrupt,
power mad, vile creature
I wasn't discussing Turd W. Sandwich. I was discussing the
Giant Douchebag, and what surprises me is how much you
people think he's god, that's all. That doesn't mean I think
W is god.
