Object: Economy has been moving in the wrong direction
As usual, Osprey has been shooting his mouth off about things he knows
nothing about. He hopes to claim the economy is, somehow, doing as
well under Bush as Clinton. (He used to claim it is better under Bush,
but even HE knows that will never sell at this point.)
According to public opinion polls, most Americans feel the U.S. economy
has been moving in the wrong direction. Indeed, an analysis of several
important economic indicators shows they're right.
Rather than accepting some Right Wing hated filled guards opinion,
consider the opinions of economists Robert D. Atkinson and Julie Hutto.
As they put it: "In apples-to-apples comparisons of annualized data,
these indicators of the country's economic well-being show mostly
negative change during President George W. Bush's administration,
compared to mostly positive change during President Bill Clinton's
administration."

Either way, he was getting a ***** in my White House instead of

his duties.

Yeah - he should have been on vacation the way Bush always is.
That
is
the great thing about you religious whack jobs. You are all so
obsessed with the sex lives of others you can't see straight.
What a
sad, sick, hateful, bunch you are.

You think killing, torture, lies, suffering and hypocrisy are
acceptable, but sex is evil. You are one sick bunch. Too bad for

God is slowly evolving away, eh?

*IF* a being named "jesus" ever existed at all, people like "Duke"
would
be crying eternally for the shame they do "in his name". *IF* he had
an
option he wouldn't claim these people, he'd denounce them.

The Duck is like many people I have seen. They are full of hate, they
are judgmental, they care very little for people.

Actually, they probably just don't care for you.

Maybe I need to be more racist and hateful, eh?

Maybe if you got a job??

I make more in a week than you make in a year.

<LOL> .....sure you do...... ...and that's why you're whimpering
and whining about the economy, right?

Nevermore believes that if he only had enough money he won't worry
about the economy.

It doesn't work that way - I worry about my fellow American. I'm sure
that is foreign to you. (And I believe I should be taxed MORE)

Let's not tell him about the 1000s of billable hours you donate each
year, OK? :)

<LOL> You say you're not charging for your "services?"

The Republican doesn't understand why one would do pro bono work.

So
much for the Republican idea that government shouldn't care for the
poor - it should be left to private donations.

And even then, the popular mindset, these days, is that somebody's
Coach handbag and Lexus are more important than the child of a
struggling family next door.

More important to whom? Oh wait... You're claiming that because
the folks "next door" to you were too irresponsible to become
financially secure before producing children, these other people
should be forced to pay their way.....

idiot. We [rich people] make out on capital gains." you blew any
further attempt to claim to be rich and/or educated.....

That Barnes doesn't know that is proof of his
ignorance.

Idiot.

It doesn't work that way - I worry about my fellow

American.

I'm

sure
that is foreign to you. (And I believe I should be taxed

MORE)

Let's not tell him about the 1000s of billable hours you

donate

each
year, OK? :)

<LOL> You say you're not charging for your "services?"

The Republican doesn't understand why one would do pro bono

work.

So
much for the Republican idea that government shouldn't care for
the
poor - it should be left to private donations.

<LOL> *****... I believe the poor should take care of
themselves.....

And the rich should get special handouts and welfare from the
government.

The politics of greed.

Go lie down, Ray. The richest people in the USA pay a a huge
percentage of the total taxes collected..... and most of the
poor
pay none of it...

The ignorance of the Right Wing never ceases to amaze me.

So, since Barnes can't refute what I posted, he just blusters and
fumes.... the fact is that the richest 5% pay about 50% of the
federal income tax....

That is income tax, idiot. We make out on capital gains.

<ROTFLMAO> Barnes obviously doesn't know what he's talking about...
First of all, obviously rich people pay way more capital gains tax
than poor people, and secondly, capital gains tax is part of the
income tax...

Do you understand how little is reported?

<LOL> Irrelevant to your extremely stupid claim that rich people
"make out" on capital gains tax, but not income tax.

So you don't understand.

<LOL> You've been blustering and trying to divert attention even
since you made your stupid claim about capital gains, ya moron.

You not understanding doesn't mean it isn't true.
Whether you want to accept it or not, capital gains tax most negatively
impact lower and middle-class investors. The wealthier an investor, the
easier it is to structure investments so as to avoid capital gains
taxes. Take a look around. Large institutional money managers
catering to well off investors actually ADVERTISE investment strategies
that use computer models to avoid capital gains taxes.

Barnes is not only *not* a lawyer, he's a high school
dropout....

You imagination is taking over, Republican.

<LOL> Anybody that had actually ever paid capital gains tax would
know that it's part of the income tax, dumbass, and everybody that
knows anything at all would know that the rich pay way more capital
gains tax than poor people. Barnes is only a wanna-be lawyers....

<Yawn> Well you keep telling your trailer trash friends that.

It's bad enough that you didn't know that the richest 5% paid 50% of
the income tax,

You talk like Osprey. You think that because someone ignore some
stupid comment you make, they "didn't know."

Barnes, but when you said, "That is income tax,
idiot. Rch people make out on capital gains." you blew any
further attempt to claim to be rich and/or educated.....

You are an idiot. I don't claim to be in the 5% bracket, and I really
don't care what you believe. You are wrong nearly 100% of the time, so
why not here? Capital gains are qualified dividend income, and are
taxed preferentially. There are different rates. IN FACT, the
wealthy can live on income from traded securities and effectively avoid
capital gains taxes ALTOGETHER.
Furthermore, people like you, with little or no income, often end up
paying more in capital gains because they are unable to avoid the taxes
because they can't continually rolling the gains over, through trusts,
as an example. (An investor pays the capital gains tax only when he
liquidates his investment. The wealthy rarely need to do that.) This
allows you to defer your capital gains indefinitely. Investors of
great wealth will hold onto assets that have appreciated in value until
they die and then them to their heirs and avoid the capital gains tax
altogether.
If you believe differently and think that capital gains are simply
"income" perhaps YOU should explain. You have demonstrated before that
you are pure bluff. This is nothing new. (Perhaps in your last
"Scuba" you came up too fast.)

Whether you want to accept it or not, capital gains tax most negatively

Oh *****.... The cap gains tax is based on your income... the

It's bad enough that you didn't know that the richest 5% paid 50% of

You talk like Osprey. You think that because someone ignore some
stupid comment you make, they "didn't know."

It's obvious that you didn't know, ya moron.

More ignorance from Barnes, who obviously has never had any kind of an
investment... yeah, the less your incomer, the lower the rates.....
so how do these "rich people make out on capital gains?"

here are different rates. IN FACT, the
wealthy can live on income from traded securities and effectively avoid
capital gains taxes ALTOGETHER.

<ROTFLMAO> Indeed, one can keep from paying the capital gains tax,
but only by not realizing the gains.....

Furthermore, people like you, with little or no income, often end up
paying more in capital gains because they are unable to avoid the taxes
because they can't continually rolling the gains over, through trusts,
as an example. (An investor pays the capital gains tax only when he

allows you to defer your capital gains indefinitely. Investors of
great wealth will hold onto assets that have appreciated in value until
they die and then them to their heirs and avoid the capital gains tax
altogether.

You're a moron, Barnes... way too stupid to be a lawyer, let alone a
rich lawyer.... So how exactly is that "making out on capital gains"
when the gains themselves are never realized?

If you believe differently and think that capital gains are simply
"income" perhaps YOU should explain. You have demonstrated before that
you are pure bluff. This is nothing new. (Perhaps in your last
"Scuba" you came up too fast.)

I never said they were simply income, ya moron. I said that capital
gains taxes are part of the income tax... <LOL> which you obviously
didn't know when you made your claim, "That is income tax,
idiot. Rch people make out on capital gains."
Hey, BTW, another moron by the name of Zepp Jamieson has just scoffed
at the suggestion that capital gains taxes are part of the income tax.
Proof that most leftists are morons.
