If anyone ever needed PROOF positive of the ludicrous
hypocrisy of the adherents of the "Religious" Radical Right,
they need look no farther than: www.freerepublic.com .
BACKGROUND ---
Lots of luck finding any posts in there which are supportive
of individual liberties/human rights/personal freedoms. No matter
how hard you look, you probably won't find anything but such
mindless manifestations of hatefulness and bigotry as exemplified
in such posts as the responses below to a parody of un-Christian
bigots, which had appeared on a Planned Parenthood website.
On 8-8-05, ALL of that "forum's" responses to PP were in the
same vein as THESE---
"These people are the spawn of Satan." -- Rebelbase
"Multi-millionaire mass-murdering professional baby-killers are
just part of the overall anti-religious bigotry of the liberal
ruling class." -- FormerACLUmember
"Planned Barronhood is comprised of Satan's minions."

"I'm speechless. What utter buffoons." -- SittinYonder
"Yet more confirmation that pro-abortion liberals are vicious
racists pushing a Holocaust of Black children, in the spirit
of racist PP founder Margaret Sanger." -- montag813
"Now I know what is wrong with the liberals, the STDs they
have contracted are affecting their brains." -- ravingnutter
"Those people are sick!" -- GloriaJane
Now -- for a website to have the utter gall to call itself "FREE
Republic," and then be nothing but a sounding board for hateful
bigots who use it as a support group for supposedly "justifying"
their hateful narrow-mindedness and lack of regard for individual
liberties -- makes that site the EPITOME of ludicrous hypocrisy.

SO -- I DECIDED TO POST A REASONABLE RESPONSE ---
First, I read the rules, then registered to post. And then made
sure that my posting was 100& in **compliance** with the site's
posting rules and guidelines. 100% !!!
Here's what I wrote, in response to the post, above, by
"GloriaJane" She had written: "Those people are sick!"
To which I responded:
"Sick? Naw. They're just poking some well-deserved
fun at *actual* bigotry. Against a truly UN-Christian
agenda that seeks to impose hardship upon no fewer
than tens of millions of women by forcing childbirth
upon them. Against their will. Resulting in the denial
of their rights... their relegation to second-class-citizen
status...their involuntary servitude to mere NON-sentient
Stage 2, 3, and 4 reproductive-process entities (gametes)
that the Anti-Choice agenda hypocritically does NOT
"defend" -- which *also* are human, unique, alive, and
comprise a stage of development without which NO
births would occur. UNwanted entities which the
*women* very sensibly, under their circumstances, often
regard as future-threatening parasites.
Further manifestation of that hardship would be the
*disruption* of their well-being, both short-term and'
long-term (as in, for decades or a lifetime)... and the
*destruction* of countless of their opportunities. For
*nothing!*
Abortion is nothing more than a phenomenally-beneficial
remedy. And just as with any other perceived malady or
unwanted medical condition, accessing it is, plainly and
simply, a common-sense action of self-defense."

ANALYSIS ----
NOWHERE in the above post did I --
(1) Make a personal attack.
(2) Employ ANY profanity or vulgarity.
(3) Make ANY form of threat.
(4) Employ ANY form of racial or religious
bigotry. (In fact, I *countered* religious
bigotry when I pointed out that the
Anti-Choice agenda is by its very
nature an UN-Christian approach to
dealing with people. Christ preached
compassion -- not hatefulness.)
(5) Write anything that could be regarded
as "offensive or otherwise inappropriate
for a conservative family audience."
Unless the person running that site
regards FACTS to be offensive to such
an audience, since that is ALL that I
presented in my post. And if *that*
should be the case, then that stands as
a strong *indictment* of Jim Robinson's
estimation of his audience. Any audience
that would have an aversion to clear-cut
facts would be pretty unintelligent, to
say the least.
(6) My post contained NO advertising,
solicitations, spam or commercial mess-
ages. Not any links to ANY other site,
least of all my own.
DESPITE my full compliance with the website's rules,
my post had disappeared within a few hours as though it
had never existed. And when I attempted to re-post it, a
message came up that read:
"Your posting privilege has been revoked."
To Jim Robinson: You CLAIM that your website is a
"forum," but obviously, it is not. A true forum would not
censor facts, or even honest dissenting opinions.
It would not revoke the posting privileges of a person just
because they happened to disagree with your views, or
those of other participants. A true forum is not AFRAID of
the relevant facts pertaining to issues. To the contrary, it is
a place where relevant facts and opinions are open to fair
and civil discussion.
You CLAIM to be involved in a "continuing fight for
freedom," but then prove openly that many of the freedoms
we cherish in America are anathema to you. You CLAIM
to be "for America and our constitution and against totali-
tarianism, socialism, tyranny, terrorism, etc." but your very
actions are tyrannical and arbitrary. You provide an excellent
example of the way American society needs to *ensure* that
it will never, ever BECOME.
And BTW, Jim -- Even though the posts of others that
I quoted above are *filled* with ACTUAL violations of your
prohibition against "posting personal attacks," and my
post contained NO personal attacks (i.e., my only attack
was directed solely at an *agenda*) -- I notice that ALL of
*those* folks' posts are still there. Further proof of your
abject hypocrisy.
CONCLUSION:
If any good can come from sites like that of Jim Robinson,
whose "forum" is quite the **opposite** of "free" -- it is the
fact that it stands there for all to see... as a very PUBLIC
example, and all the proof anyone would ever need, of the
utter hatefulness and intolerance of the adherents of the
cult best described as the (pseudo-) "Religious" Radical
Right.
And of the fact that such people have NO facts to bring
to bear. Robinson's "forum" is nothing but a collection of
hatemongers sitting around having a pity party, with nothing
to offer but the most specious, vacuous, and sociopathic
"arguments" and comments imaginable. KKK conclaves
must be quite similar to that.
FORTUNATELY, though -- as long as such intolerance
is THAT public, society can see for themselves what they
are fighting against when they stand up for and defend
personal liberties and human rights, and oppose the hateful
agendas of the RRR. It's one of the very BEST examples
of Un-Christian and unbridled bigotry that America has seen
since segregation so properly met ITS demise and extinction,
40 years ago.
