Gallup: Trust in Media at New Low |
On September 23, 2004, Editor and Publisher posted an article
titled: "Thanks, Dan: Gallup Finds Trust in Media at New Low."

Excerpts:
"In the wake of the CBS '60 Minutes' controversy, a
new Gallup Poll finds the news media's credibility
has declined significantly among the public.
"The poll, taken Sept. 13-15 while the CBS report on
President Bush's National Guard service was being
questioned but before the network issued an apology,
found that just 44% of Americans express confidence
in the media's ability to report news stories accu-
rately and fairly.
"'This is a significant drop from one year ago,'
Gallup reports, 'when 54% of Americans expressed a
great deal or fair amount of confidence in the media.
The latest result is particularly striking because
this figure had previously been very stable -- fluc-
tuating only between 51% and 55% from 1997-2003.'

Papa Jack commented:
Perhaps, just perhaps, the American public is growing
tired of the incessant "spin" of the liberal press.
But, we notice the Pro-Aborts on t.a. continue to
attempt to smear President Bush with every phony
rumor and exaggeration which comes along.

Recently, the Washington Times quoted John Kerry as saying the
following:
"We know that Iraq is a danger to the United States,
and we reserve the right to take pre-emptive action
whenever we feel it's in our national interest."
http://www.washtimes.com/national/inbeltway.htm
The problem is, Kerry never said it. That's your "liberal media" for
you. Where are the calls for resignations? Where is the outrage?
(The Times did run a correction, btw.)
But, we notice the Pro-Aborts on t.a. continue to
attempt to smear President Bush with every phony
rumor and exaggeration which comes along.
Jeff Gerth attempted to smear President Clinton in the pages of the
New York Times with every phony rumor and exaggeration which came
along. Is he a "pro-abort"?
Btw, the stories about Bush's shirking his National Guard obligations
aren't rumors - they are *facts*. And Bush lied about it for 30
years.

For every negative article about Kerry in our major newspapers, you
can find one hundred negative articles about Bush to put them up
against. And with the exception of FOX, campaign coverage on our major
networks, CNN and NPR is viciously slanted against Bush. If
Republicans had that going for 'em, they wouldn't lose another
election.

which proves that the incredibly right-wing owned press is covering up most
of the ugliness of the bush administration by not reporting it.

It't pretty obvious why. Bush has more negavtives.

Fox is a joke as an objective "news" network and everyong knows it.

I won't even waste a round on this one - it's dead on arrival.
When this claim comes back from the taxidermist, you can display it
alongside your other stupid, unsupported claims, like the one about
late-term abortions where you got the math completely and ridiculously
wrong, or the one about homosexual sex being more dangerous than
smoking.
A trophy room full of Mariopatra *****-ups!
One of the big differences between wise people, regular people and
stupid people is that wise people learn from others' mistakes, regular
people learn from their own mistakes and stupid people don't learn
anything. You sure are a stupid, stupid person.
And with the exception of FOX, campaign coverage on our major
networks, CNN and NPR is viciously slanted against Bush. If

"Vicious" being a most ironic piece of jargon in this context. Next
time you play "Predator", try to remember to set your auto-descruct
mechanism to "off", OK?
