Gay parade stomps down city's sense of decency
JOE FITZGERALD
They called it the Gay Pride March, but what was really on parade in
the streets of Boston Saturday and on display in both papers the next
morning - this one included - was the hypocrisy of the homosexual
movement and the cowardice of an establishment too weak-kneed to
confront it.
Those perverts who reveled in flaunting their deviance have every right
to assume that they're in the driver's seat now, that there's no
stopping them, that their triumph over common decency is complete.
Call it gay-bashing, hateful, anything you want; it makes no difference
here.
It's high time someone with a public platform calls that debauchery
exactly what it is, which is evil, sick and wrong.
Headline in the Boston Sunday Globe: Parents Are The Stars of Annual
Gay Parade. Second headline: Families Are The Highlight of Annual Gay
Pride Parade.
And the coverage is accompanied by a photo of an adorable 8-year-old
clinging to her mother's shoulder.
You'd have thought Mickey and Minnie were passing by!
Why didn't they publish their photos of half-naked lesbians sashaying
through Back Bay, or the photos that showed a drag queen being fondled
by a lecherous admirer?
Surely they must have had them. This paper did. They're sitting on this
desk right now. We didn't publish them either.
Truth be told, not publishing them was a correct decision because
they're so vulgar and depraved they would have deeply offended the
sensibilities of any reader with a scintilla of moral fiber.
Good for the Globe. Good for the Herald.
Or was it?
Our headline said, Gay Pride Celebrants Fill South End Streets.
Was it really good of us, good of them, to put a happy face on this
unmitigated sleaze?
If the behavior of these "celebrants" was deemed too vile for exposure
to unsuspecting readers, then why wasn't it also seen as too vile for
exposure to unsuspecting citizens who happened to be on those streets,
including that 8-year-old girl and others like her who were shamelessly
used as political props, some by their "two moms"?
In theory a kid has to be at least 17 before viewing lewdness in a
theater, but in reality a toddler could have seen it on the streets of
Boston just by waving at the mayor and then waiting for the Lesbian
Avengers to follow behind him moments later, pushing a bed upon which
two topless women kissed and caressed.
What in the world is going on here?
The Lesbian Avengers? These are the lowlifes who distributed candy
outside a West Springfield elementary school on Valentine's Day two
years ago, along with the phone number of a gay sex line and leaflets
proclaiming, "Girls who love girls are OK."
Instead of serving as their grand marshal, Tommy Menino would have won
a lot more votes and a great deal more respect if he had done an
about-face and ordered his cops to get these creeps out of public view.
Political leadership is moral leadership, too. Where was yours, your
honor?
The mayor saw something flagrantly wrong and chose to look the other
way.
But he was hardly alone.
So did the Globe. So did the Herald.
And so, most of all, did that alleged majority of gays who profess they
simply want to be left alone, free from the hassling of straight
society.
Why didn't they excoriate those misfits since they had the most to lose
by their presence?
Instead they allowed their children to mingle with them.
This is how they win acceptance?
Please.
Let them holler "homophobia."
That's a made-up word intended to suppress legitimate resistance to
behavior like this, but you have to admit it's been effective when the
mayor and both papers fear it so much they give their blessings to that
raunch they witnessed Saturday.
"You always have something that might mar a parade," Menino told a
reporter who advised him of the bedroom scene behind him. "I look at
the positive aspect."
Get serious, Mr. Mayor, there's no positive aspect to a glorification
of aberrance.
Why not look in the mirror instead and try to find that candidate from
Hyde Park who promised to infuse City Hall with family values, and if
you find him ask him to fire off a letter to the editors of both papers
because it's obvious they could use a shot of them, too.

I was busily flonking away in alt.politics.homosexuality, when The Goddess
Eris Herself suddenly made me reply to Rob Wade:

Gay parade stomps down city's sense of decency

JOE FITZGERALD

Joe Fitzgerald claims he isn't homophobic, in another post by Rob Wade. To
use a term with which he might be more familiar, Joe Fitzgerald is a
humbug.
