German TV personality fired for praising Nazi family policy |
It's a shame that in this day and age, people still can't discuss the
positive things that occurred during those dark times for the German
people.

German TV personality fired for praising Nazi family policy
BERLIN (AP) - Germany's NDR public broadcaster fired a talk show host
and author on women's issues after she praised Nazi Germany's attitude
toward motherhood, the station said Sunday.
NDR said Herman, who has written books urging a return to more
traditional gender roles, was fired after confirming to station
management that she made the statement reported in the Bild am Sonntag
newspaper on Sunday.
The statement was: "What I wanted to express was that values which
also existed before the Third Reich, such as family, children and
motherhood, which were supported in the Third Reich, were subsequently
done away with by the 68ers" - a reference to 1960s leftists.
Other news reports had quoted her as saying at the presentation of her
latest book that, while there was "much that was very bad, for example
Adolf Hitler," there were good things, "for example the high regard
for the mother" under the Nazis.
NDR program director Volker Herres said in a statement that "Mrs.
Herman's authorial activities are in our view no longer compatible
with her role as a television moderator and talk show host."

people.
....and from faraway Germany a thundering "FOAD" could be heard...
You, fuckface, have no idea what went on back then. We Germans of today
still suffer both physically (dud bombs are still being found and defused
in our cities... although every now and then one goes off after all those
decades and kills a person or a few dozen) and socially (still having to
catch the flak for the moustached madman's insanity, no matter if you were
born decades after the end of the reich).
Come over here, fuckface, and dare to say your ***** straight in our
faces. Show that you got some guts.

Yes, it's well known what a big supporter of free speech you are.
At least when it suits your agenda:
"I used to like to frequent alt.flame.niggers and alt.white.power. But
Google dropped them because they saw them as racist. The left will say it's
hate-speech and should not be protected under the Constitution. I'll
say it's truth-speech, and that they should put people like them in
concentration camps."

WHAT positive things? Life for the ordinary, normal Germans sucked
under the Nazis. Read a history book.
Birth control was illegal in Nazi Germany. Single men and women were
hit with heavy taxes because they dared to decline marriage.
Why did the Nazis have such policies? Because they loved children and
families? Hell, no. They foresaw a need for more young men to use as
cannon fodder.
And I haven't even discussed the total lack of freedom the Germans
suffered. Disagree with the Nazi regime, and they'd throw you in a
concentration camp.
I have met older Germans who lived under the Nazis. They had nothing
positive to say about Nazis. One was very angry that Hitler was not
even a German. They saw him and the Nazis as destroyers of their
country.

That's the only attitude I ever got from people who lived through it
any time I was in Germany. From those who would talk about it - most
would rather spit when you mention Hitler. the only Germans who
really prospered during the Third Reich are dead or South Americans.

I'll bet you down-home anti-semite racists are disappointed, too.
