Object: GOP Lie of the Day: “flood control has been a priority of this administration from day one.”

2004:
Army Corps request: $11 million [Link]
Bush request: $3 million [Link]
Approved by Congress: $5.5 million [Link]
2005:
Army Corps request: $22.5 million [Link]
Bush request: $3.9 million [Link]
Approved by Congress: $5.7 million [Link]
2006:
Bush request: $2.9 million [Link]
Today, Scott McClellan claimed that “flood control has been a priority
of this administration from day one.” This figures show that the
administration has consistently budgeted far less that the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers has requested for flood control in Louisiana. And
over the last several years, the gap between what the Corps requested
and what the administration budgeted has increased.

Why not lie. Bush lied us into a war and lied his way to re-election, He
has lied all his life and it has always paid off. Wy stop now?
Nixon lied his way into office and every GOP politcian since then
has been a liar.
The bigger the lies they tell, the more far right morons line up to kiss

They will lie, it wil be obvious lies and the ***** monkies will

money for levy improvement throughout "this administration". Most of the

Maybe its time to take that CoE document telling you that,
and get up a big petition. Obviously doing nothing until a massive
flood happens is not acceptable. Petitions to Senators, congress
creeps and the press. If the worse happens, hold the GOP Congress
and Bush personal and collectively responsible. Make the leadership

incompetence here, and failure to act.

"Incompetence" and "Bush Administration" are synonyms.
Most of those victimized by the new Orleans disaster were
poor and black.
Under the Bush Lite Administration, they *therefore* were
automatically, thoroughly, and inexorably screwed, right from
the start.
Bush is the worst horse's ***** to ever have polluted the
White House.
Helen Thomas had it right years ago -- he's the WORST
President in American history.
HOURS after Chief Justice Rehnquist died last night, Bush
was on the tube commenting about it.
As opposed to **THREE DAYS** of relative silence following
the destruction of New Orleans... Pass Christian... most of Slidell
and Gulfport... severe damage to Biloxi... Keesler AFB, and Mobile...
the obliteration of gosh only knows right now *how* many other
small communities and villages... and enormous damage cover-
in a region the size of great Britain in the BIGGEST national dis-
aster in the history of the nation.
Bush has NO sense of priorities, and is a compassionless turd.
And as big a DOLT as his father, who ignored Hurricane
Andrew for three days after it hit. (A **bigger** one, actually,
since Bush, Sr., made that mistake, and then Bush Lite proved
himself to be too bone-DUMB to have *learned* from it!)
How many Bushes does it take change a light bulb?
All indications are that it's probably some positive number
greater than one, having an exponent greater than three.
Factorial.

Start a website. Bush - GOP incompetence watch. Day 211
What our politicians did this week. Nothing.

Start a writing campaign.

Indeed!! Get off our butts and start taking ACTION.
The RRR Cult dies it all the time in their attempts to DESTROY
our personal liberties, and convert America into a hateful and
compassionless pseudo-theocracy resembling the society depicted
by George Orwell in "1984."
So the time is LONG overdue for sensible, compassionate, and
fair-minded egalitarians to publicly and with great dedication turn
America BACK to being a *non*-3rd-world, admirable, compassionate,
and freedom-loving-&-guaranteeing nation the people can once
again be PROUD to live in.

Some GOOD news!! While in Washington State in late

being SCRAPPED altogether, and that ALL ballots hence-
forth must be MAILED in. And if *that* spreads nationwide,
that will put an END to "Black Box Voting!"
I'm not sure if that only applied to Yakima County (where I
saw the piece on TV), or was a statewide action... but either
way, it's a great start!!

This is massive incompetence.

This is a small town with less than 1000 people. Most live under the poverty
line and 70% or more are Mexican.
That means that everybody in the family works. Many have to take time off
from work to get a money orders to pay their bills.
They don't have the time.
More important they don't have the tax base.
But my house is always unlocked and my neighbor is right there if he thinks
something is wrong.

McClellan read the statement wrong. He meant to say that SPIN control
has been a priority of this administration, from day one.
