Object: If Hell does exist...
If Hell,as described in the Bible, really does exist,it should come as
no suprise as to who we'll find there. Those who advocate and defend
the option of abortion will be the first to burn. One could not
possibly blame a poor, young, scared and confused girl who's been
knocked-up by some unsavory character.Voices of reason would help her
through pregnancy and into motherhood. The voices of evil would tell
her to take the easy way out and terminate her child. Those are the
people who will suffer eternal damnation,if in fact there is a
here-after;if not,a guilty conscience will be there personal hell.Is
the chance that Hell exists really worth it?

Actually the serpent told the truth, it was God who was the evildoer.
GEN 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the
garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch
it, lest ye die.
GEN 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
GEN 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your
eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
God said Adam and Woman would die. The serpent said they would not.
Truth -- the serpent, they did not die. The serpent said their eyes
shall be opened... as gods, knowing good and evil.
GEN 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of
us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and
take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
Again the serpent told the truth.
So God punishes Adam, Woman, and the serpent. Why? Because man
disobeyed God. BUT....... How was man to know that he should obey
God and not listen to the serpent? Man was without knowledge of good
and evil and thus *could not possibly know* that it was wrong to
disobey. God intended man to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good
and evil. Being omniscient he knew exactly what was going to happen.
Sin is disobeying God's Will -- yet it is God's Will that man
disobeys. Thus "sin" is a meaningless concept.

** Since she didn't know right from wrong how could she know she was doing

No-one

Yep, just like a liberal to reason in this manner. I recall that old
comedy show with Flip Wilson wherein he occasionally would plead, "The
debil made me do it!" The guy was way ahead of his time.
This epitomizes today's liberal. Nothing they do, nothing that happens
to them comes through their own fault or bad choices. Nope, some
unnamed, external *force* brought it all about. This explains why
nobody on death row is guilty of anything. Just ask a liberal. It also
explains why everyone doesn't have 50 million bucks in the bank. You
know, bad breaks.
If they're given free will and screw things up, why it's the fault of
God who gave it to them. If God takes away free will and they screw

options.
Sir, now you know why you can't argue with these people. They seek

Yep, just like a liberal to reason in this manner.

$$ How should people reason? Should they simply accept any crazy thing
someone tells them?
I recall that old

comedy show with Flip Wilson wherein he occasionally would plead, "The
debil made me do it!" The guy was way ahead of his time.

$$ Irrelavant and not related to the topic.

This epitomizes today's liberal. Nothing they do, nothing that happens
to them comes through their own fault or bad choices.

$$ Which is absurd. Plenty of devout fundies blame everyone else for their
problems.
Nope, some

unnamed, external *force* brought it all about. This explains why
nobody on death row is guilty of anything. Just ask a liberal.

$$ Which Liberals make that claim? I never met one making that claim.
Many murderers on death row admit their crimes. Why are you lying now?
Once you lie your credibility is gone on Usenet. I'm a liberal and believe
most on death row are guilty and should pay for what they did.
It also

explains why everyone doesn't have 50 million bucks in the bank. You
know, bad breaks.

$$ What has this got to do with a god who slaughters humans as though they
were mad dogs?

If they're given free will and screw things up, why it's the fault of
God who gave it to them.

$$ Who blame a non existent god for anything? Only a fundy such as yourself
can do that.
If God takes away free will and they screw

up, why it's also the fault of God who took away their choices and
options.

$$ What god - there are thousands of them out there!

LO! Frank is far from liberal and he doesn't deserve such a compliment.

I recall that old

Do you think the devil made you misspell his name?

What an imagination you have. Is this what is needed to justify your
goofball ideas? Conservatives are terribly irresponsible as we all
know quite well. Look around. (Bush, for example, claims he takes no
responsibility for the ramifications of the war he produced. Deaths,
children killed, beheadings, lies, etc.)

If they're given free will and screw things up, why it's the fault of

What makes you think that?

If God takes away free will and they screw
up, why it's also the fault of God who took away their choices and
options.

You fall back on "God" but complain others don't take responsibility.
How typical.

Sir, now you know why you can't argue with these people. They seek
excuses, not truth and clarity. GGG

You begin. How is God, "truth?" (Suddenly, she became silent...)

"Wrong" is a concept she couldn't have known prior to eating it.

| You are gonna go to hell because they ate a piece of fruit!!!!

They disobeyed God, and tried to BE God. They had an entire Garden of fruit

chose to eat from the only tree that God told them not to.

Describe their actions. Be specific now.

| |
| | They disobeyed God, and tried to BE God. They had an entire Garden of fruit
| | to eat, and yet they
| | chose to eat from the only tree that God told them not to.
|
| Describe their actions. Be specific now.
1. God tells Adam not too eat from the Tree of The Knowledge of Good and Evil.
Genesis 2 (NIV)
16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but
you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will
surely die."
2. At some point, Adam (or God) informs Eve of the above restriction, since she says the same
thing to the Serpent.
Genesis 3 (NIV)
2 The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did
say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not
touch it, or you will die.' "
3. The serpent tells Eve that eating of the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil
will give her knowledge that will make her like God.
Genesis 3 (NIV)
4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "For God knows that when you eat of
it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
" [2.] You shall be as gods - As Elohim, mighty gods, not only omniscient but omnipotent too:
[3.] You shall know good and evil - That is, everything that is desirable to be known. To support
this part of the temptation, he abuseth the name given to this tree. 'Twas intended to teach the
practical knowledge of good and evil, that is, of duty and disobedience, and it would prove the
experimental knowledge of good and evil, that is, of happiness and misery. But he perverts the
sense of it, and wrests it to their destruction, as if this tree would give them a speculative
notional knowledge of the natures, kinds, and originals of good and evil."
-- John Wesley's Notes on the Bible
4. Once hearing this, Eve is tempted to eat of the fruit. Not just because it looked good, or
because she thought it would give sustainence, but because it would give her knowledge to be LIKE
GOD.
Genesis 3 (NIV)
6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and
also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who
was with her, and he ate it.
