Object: If you don't love this...
If you don't love this, there is something seriously wrong with you!
The Republican messiah, Bill O'Reilly, who is married, is being sued
for sexual harassment. He is accused of repeated instances of sexual
harassment and spoke often, and explicitly, to the woman about phone
sex, vibrators, threesomes, masturbation, the loss of his virginity,
and sexual fantasies. This is part of the moral high ground you often
hear about from the Right!
Before O'Reilly realized he was being sued, and that his comments were
sometimes tape recorded, O'Reilly claimed he was being Extorted.

It is great stuff. It includes quotes to the woman from O'Reilly, 55,
on all sorts of lewd matters. Mackris, 33, recorded some of O'Reilly's
more steamy soliloquies. For example, we direct you to his Caribbean
shower fantasies. Reading the entire document, especially the
interesting sections on a Thailand sex show, Al Franken, and the climax
of one August 2004 phone conversation. (22 pages)
Republicans! What hypocrites!

Go on, hypocrite, I dare you...

That is the mindset of those who will do anything to defend Bush and attack
Clinton. I documented one such yahoo (Steve Carroll) in this post:
http://snipurl.com/9wz8
He was completely busted... red handed using completely different standards
for the two presidents... but he never admitted to it. Here are some of my
favorite quotes from this particular yahoo as he tried to explain why
Clinton was guilty:
I said Clinton was guilty because he admitted it and I believe him
and
Fact: Clinton is guilty because he ADMITTED it
and even
he admitted he was guilty... and that's BETTER than a courtroom
verdict because, unless you can provide a specific, extenuating
circumstance for doing so, it essentially removes all doubt.
But when talking about Bush, he jumps to the completely opposite view:
It's important to note that the entering of a guilty plea (which is
different than actually BEING guilty) must be accepted by the judge
before a person can be considered guilty
and
a person must be FOUND guilty... but wait... there's more... this can
ONLY happen in a courtroom. Unless you are a judge or you sit on a jury,
you cannot participate in this finding in a NG or anywhere else... not
while *properly* using the word guilty
and
Question: Is Bush "guilty of breaking the law' at this point in time?
Answer: No.
Question: Why not?
Answer: Because he hasn't been tried yet.
Now watch Steve jump in and try to say the context is different - sure it
is, Steve... one context is about Clinton, the other about Bush. :)
Of course, Steve often argues against himself - look at his multiple
definitions of "actually guilty" he has flip flopped about:
OT: Summary of debate on actual guilt vs. legal guilt v1.5
http://snipurl.com/9rjm
--
From a semantic game player:
"He's guilty of committing the crime, not of breaking the law."

Since the late 1980s, O'Reilly had been fielding offers to run for Congress
as a Republican. But at Harvard he was approached by Roger Ailes, then

launch of the Fox News Channel in October 1996. Airing at 6:00 p.m., the
show had weak ratings for the first year and a half, until the Monica
Lewinsky story broke in January 1998. That's when Ailes shifted O'Reilly to
his current 8:00 p.m. slot. The combination of a later airtime and a
relentless focus on Clinton's sexual indiscretion proved a ratings bonanza.

If you don't love this, there is something seriously wrong with you!

The Republican messiah, Bill O'Reilly,

Bill O'Reilly is not a Republican,

Not currently registered, but:

Even if he were registered Republican, it doesn't matter since one's
party registration is largely irrelevant. Ask Craig Chilton about
that one.
One can go down the list of platform points and acknowledge which ones
O'Reilly doesn't agree with. There are a lot.

You call that "distanced"?

Yes, since making speeches at events doesn't exactly matter, either.

LOL.. so just because someone has been a registered Republican and speaks at
Republican events, it is not reasonable to conclude that their may be *some*
identification going with the Republican party?

I'm sure there may be "some" identification. At some level, everyone

(22 pages)

Shame on you! This is just about sex. And it probably depends on what
the meaning of the word 'harassment' is.

Shame on YOU, Werner.
In your rush to establish moral equivalence between O'Reilly and
Clinton, you overstepped badly. If you had just limited yourself to
the statement, "Clinton was married, too," you would have been on
somewhat firmer ground. You could make the claim that both men had
dishonored their marriages, and you would be correct.
But no, you had to go further than that... and I have to wonder why.
Don't you claim to be a Libertarian? I shouldn't need to beat you
over the head with the phrase "consenting adults," then, should I?
The word "harassment" means that the recipient of the advances *finds
them unwelcome*.
As outraged as you might have been with Pres. Clinton's behavior, Ms.
Lewinsky did not say that *she* was uncomfortable with his behavior.
Quite to the contrary, Ms. Lewinsky claimed that she was blackmailed
into revealing details of her personal life by an intruding third
party, Ms. Tripp.
Contrast that with the O'Reilly situation. Ms. Mackris claims that
she did *not* welcome the alleged advances from Mr. O'Reilly. That's
why there is a harassment lawsuit.
