The Bible abuses women from the very start, by evilly dumping the blame
for the mythical god's incompetence not on the mythical Adam, but on
the mythical Eve, and it wasn't enough just to blame her, but to
brutally punish her:
"Unto the woman [the god] said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and
thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy
desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."

In other words she was condemned to pain and slavery. And the tyranny
didn't end there. The OT is a litany of savagery against women and
children, and as if that were not bad enough, Exodus and Leviticus make
it tragically clear how demeaned women are to be:

The wife of a slave is to be her master's possession (neither Jesus nor
anyone else in the Bible ever condemned slavery), as were her children.
A man can sell his daughter in servitude and she will become her
owner's possession forever.
If a woman gives birth to a boy, she is unclean for 7 days, but if she
gives birth to a girl, she's unclean for 33 days.

A menstruating woman is unclean. She must be confined and must not be
touched.

A woman is unclean after sex, a man is not, unless the woman is
menstruating, in which case he's dirty for a week.

A woman is unclean *after* menstruation for a week, as is everything
she touches.

If a guy has sex with a woman who is another man's possession, the the
*woman* shall be scourged. An example of this is when David imprisons
his *concubines* when Absalom rapes them.

A female prostitute shall be burned to death if she's the daughter of a
priest. A male prostitute is just fine.

You shall kill witches. Wizards are fine.

Male vows are worth about twice what female vows are.

Women (but not men) accused of adultery are required to drink dirty
water.

Women who are determined not to be virgins at marriage shall be stoned
to death. Male sluts are just fine.

A man can kick out his wife with a piece of paper and she must leave,
penniless and alone - the divorce is final.

A divorcee cannot remarry her ex.

According to Samuel, men who are holy stay away from women.

One of the Bible's heroes, Solomon, owned a thousand wives and
concubines, and thought a good idea to solve custody battles was to cut
children in half.

Proverbs advises men not to give their strength to women.

The reason the mythical Jesus had to be born of a virgin was in part to
keep up with other myths of the era, and also in part because women are
defiled by sex and the farcical birth needed to be "pure".

Jesus expresses contempt for his mother after he causes them stress by
disobediently hanging out in the synagogue at the age of 12, instead of
following his family home.

Jesus tells his mother "Woman, what have I to do with thee" in "John's"
gospel, and he says "woe onto pregnant and nursing women" in Matthew.

In his entire ministry, the inventors of Jesus never once had him speak
against the ownership of women, against women being second-class
citizens in church and elsewhere, and he never once spoke of equating
them with men. According to gospel myth, he told stories about, for
example, 10 virgins awaiting one bridegroom without giving any
indication whatsoever that he thought there was anything wrong with
that.

The Bible myth makes it repeatedly clear that the women were Jesus's
most faithful followers, perhaps even indicating he was married to at
least one of them, yet he never appears to them after his ridiculous
and farcical resurrection, nor trusts any of them to carry his word.

Paul was a misogynist who detested women, indiscriminately describing
them as lesbians and insisting that it's better for men to avoid any
intimacy with them (like any "lesbian" would want anything to do with a
sorry ***** like him anyway!).

Paul insisted that married people are too obsessed with worldly things,
and therefore, perhaps, not worthy of a god.

In other words, the Bible neither respects women nor holds to family
values.
