They've always had the ability to make their own decisions. (Even at
Cardonald College in Glasgow.)

In another ongoing thread, within the last few minutes, YOU
wrote, and I responded, as follows...

I actually think it always depends on the circumstances of
each individual situation.

Precisely. And it's always accessible as a legal remedy.
And it never is anyone else's business but the woman's, unless
*she* chooses to include someone else in the loop.

But one of my friends has had two abortions now and I think
to my self how daft and stupid can you be!

Perhaps $600 worth?

I mean she knows about contraception and just never uses
it properly.

How do you know? Have you actually discussed that with her,
to that extent? And if that's true, then she's the analogue to a
person who's accident-prone in other ways, due to his/her own
carelessness. BUT... unlike her analogue, who might be endan-
gering others... *she* ISN'T. So the only harm being done by such
carelessness is to her wallet (or perhaps to her partner's, if he's
taking care of the fees). So still, no biggie.

Why do people put [themselves] through such big things like
abortion when it can be easily avoided.

Why does anyone do things that bring about avaidable injury, for
which they need to seek a remedy afterward? But that's no reason to
be critical of the *remedy*. That'd be just like saying, "Gosh, that
guy's a lousy driver. So the next time he shows up in our emergency
room wearing a steering wheel around his neck, we won't render any
aid to him."

But she is one of the idiots, there are many other situations where
its not been avoidable e.g. when someone has been raped, I think
the women has the wrights to have an abortion.

Actually, the word is "right," not the word synonymous with the
inventors of the airplane. Which I would have thought was just a typo,
except that you just used it as well in the subject header of *another*
thread. {THIS one.}
And access to that remedy IS the right of ALL women who choose it,
regardless of reasons. They legally are entitled to it upon request, no
questions asked, upon payment of the proper fee.
And just as is the case with all other remedies... that is EXACTLY
as it SHOULD be.
They system's not broken, and except for *removing* some
unnecessary impediments to it, it doesn't need any fixing.
