The problems in Huntington Beach began six months after she moved into
her apartment complex, Price says, when a drunken, Caucasian neighbor
physically accosted her, using the "N" word and shouting "You think
you're better than I am."
Then, several years ago, her apartment window was shattered, but Price
says there was no evidence that it was racially motivated.
But if there was any doubt in her mind as to whether she was being
targeted, her suspicions were confirmed last May when a hate note was
placed on her car, threatening her and her son. And last July, she
came home to find swastikas on her apartment door, which she believes
were painted by a group of neo-Nazi skinheads that lived in the
complex.
