WASHINGTON Law enforcement officials say the name of an Albany mosque imam
now facing federal terror-related charges was found in documents recovered
from a terrorist training camp last summer.
An entry in an address book found by U-S soldiers at an Ansar al-Islam camp
in northern Iraq referred to Yassin Aref (Yah-seen Ah-reef) as "the
commander" and included his address and telephone number in Albany.
Two law enforcement officials speaking on condition of anonymity said the
entry was a strong indication that the group Ansar al-Islam had a presence
in the United States. The group has been linked to the al-Qaida terrorist
network.

We are spending 3,000 times as much on Iraq as on Port Security. We are
spending 10 times as much on Iraq as on Homeland Security. Already, the
different individual states are starting to fight over the meager Homeland
Security resources available. Hillary Clinton thinks that most of it
should go
to New York. Do you agree with her? Or do you agree with the Mayor of
Washington and all the congressmen who live in Washington that most of it
should go to Washington?
I truly wish that John Kerry would let the Iraqis settle things for
themselves
