Kerry campaigns to phony crowds |
Here's the scoop on Kerry's phony crowds, from National Review:
Controlled environments appear to be the norm for the Kerry camp nowadays.
The Kerry campaign likes to tout attendance numbers at its rallies around
the country. But those events are increasingly becoming stage-managed rallies,
with in-sourced supporters. At recent events in Michigan and Ohio, the Kerry
campaign has bused supporters as many as 150 miles to boost attendance. As in
so many areas, the campaign is banking on organized labor to bump up the numbers.
According to one attendee at a rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Monday, she
was given part of the day off with pay from her union job to attend.

BTW, I found it hilarious that on the same page was an article talking about
values and an ad showing two people who just met by using an dating service
smooching it up.

I thought it amusing that someone with a bullhorn was shouting "Four
more years! Four more years!" at the back of a Kerry rally yesterday,
and the campaign people not only let him continue, but got an extra
laugh when the rest of the crowd drowned the moron out with "Three more

Anything like being required to sign an affidavit that you support Bush,
before being allowed to attend a Cheney rally? I am not making this up.

Or having the Bush camp demand to know the race of the reporters going
to interview Cheney?

You have to be an absolute moron to think that there is anything
unique about this. It happens all of the time no matter who the
candidate/party is holding the event.
