Excerpts

Jennings: Could you explain again to me what do you mean
when you say "life begins at conception"?
Kerry: Well, that's what the Supreme Court has established
is a test of viability as to whether or not you're permitted
to terminate a pregnancy, and I support that. That is my test.
And I, you know, ...

COMMENT:
This "seems" to say Kerry supports abortions until "viability"
(whatever that really is).

Kerry: ...you have all kinds of different evolutions of life,
as we know, and very different beliefs about birth, the process
of the development of a fetus. That's the standard that's been
established in Roe v. Wade. And I adhere to that standard.

COMMENT:
How many different "evolutions of life" do we have, Senator?
I thought there was only one.
How many different beliefs do we have about "birth, the process
of the development of a fetus?"
First, Kerry says there's all kinds of different "evolutions"
and "beliefs." But, then he says, "That's the standard that's
been established in Roe v. Wade. And I adhere to that standard."
What does that mean???????
However, the standard of the Catholic Church is clear. Hhuman
life begins at conception. Thus, Kerry is disputing the doctrine
of his church.

Jennings: If you believe that life begins at conception, is even a
first-trimester abortion not murder?
Kerry: No, because it's not the form of life that takes personhood
in the terms that we have judged it to be in the past. It's the
beginning of life. Does life begin? Yes, it begins.

COMMENT:
Ahhh, the old "personhood" argument. First, Pro-Aborts like Kerry
define "personhood" to mean a human being AFTER BIRTH. Then they
try to use their own definition to prove that fetuses aren't
"persons." They don't seem to realize that's an exercise in
circular reasoning.

Kerry: Is it at the point where I would say that you apply those
penalties?...

COMMENT:
What penalties, Senator? No one has said anything about
penalties to this point.

Kerry: ...The answer is, no, and I believe in choice....

~ ~ ~
COMMENT:
Everyone believes in "CHOICE." The question is what
choices are we talking about? A choice of mates? A
choice of what to eat? A choice of what to wear?
Where to live? Where to work?
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Kerry: ...I believe in the right to choose,...

~ ~ ~
COMMENT:
Kerry is clearly saying he believes women should have the
right to choose to KILL THEIR UNBORN CHILDREN -- but, note
he doesn't have the backbone to say what he really means.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Kerry: ...and the government should not involve itself in
that choice, beyond where it has in the context of Roe v. Wade.

~ ~ ~
COMMENT:
If human live begins at conceptions (as Kerry stated at the
beginning), then how can the government ignore this massive
form of child abuse -- slaughtering millions of innocent
living children for convenience?

Jennings: Can you imagine yourself ever campaigning against
abortion?
Kerry: Well, I don't think — let me tell you very clearly that
being pro-choice is not pro-abortion. And I have very strong
feelings that we should talk about abortion in a very realistic
way in this country. It is a very complicated, incredibly
important moral issue that people have to face, also....

COMMENT:
Tap dance -- lots of pleasing words meaning absolutely nothing.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
~ ~ ~
Kerry: And if you talk to any woman, as I have, who has faced
that choice or who's been raped or who's suffered incest or
who's faced that kind of choice, there are huge moral impli-
cations.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

COMMENT:
Ahhh. but Senator, most Pro-Lifers will agree abortions
should be available to pregnant women in cases involving
rape, incest, or grave threat to their lives.
The real issue is whether or not women should have a
right to kill their unborn children just for the
convenience of their lifestyles?
