Object: more about fetal perception
The fetus is conscious and perceives pain.
The unborn child is capable of communicating with his parents.
Note: "Recent advances in fetal diagnosis and therapy have provided both the
technology and opportunity to piece together a new picture of the fetus"
says William Liley M. D., professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the
university of Auckland, New Zealand. "In fact, research reveals that the
fetus may be conscious and capable of learning, communicating, and even of
amazing paranormal feats when not much bigger than a tadpole."

Don't proclaim your intent to act as one, and you won't be referred to as
such. Meanwhile, aside from Liley's opinion remaining unsubstantiated in 21
years, why is it that no one else has bothered to dig up anything to support
his idea? Could it be that there's nothing legitimate behind it to begin
with?

After that you right click whereever in the message you want to post what

The fetus is conscious and perceives pain.

Not until the neurons have connected to the brain at about 24 weeks.

The unborn child is capable of communicating with his parents.

Note: "Recent advances in fetal diagnosis and therapy have provided both

the

technology and opportunity to piece together a new picture of the fetus"
says William Liley M. D., professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the
university of Auckland, New Zealand. "In fact, research reveals that the
fetus may be conscious and capable of learning, communicating, and even of
amazing paranormal feats when not much bigger than a tadpole."

When I was pregnant with my son, my daughter was 17-years-old and studying
for A Level exams in the sciences. For months we talked about nothing but
physics, chemistry and biology, and after the exams she began work in a
pathology lab, so our topics of discussion were cytology and pathology. If
what Dr Liley claims is true, then you'd think that my son would be a great
physicist or something, or that at least he'd have a head start in the
science subjects, wouldn't you? He's not even remotely interested in the
sciences and didn't pass even his O Levels in any science subject ... so
much for intra-uterine learning.

The fetus is conscious and perceives pain.

Not until the neurons have connected to the brain at about 24 weeks.

But the unborn child reacts to pain stimulus before 24 weeks.

When I was pregnant with my son, my daughter was 17-years-old and studying
for A Level exams in the sciences. For months we talked about nothing but
physics, chemistry and biology, and after the exams she began work in a
pathology lab, so our topics of discussion were cytology and pathology.

If

what Dr Liley claims is true, then you'd think that my son would be a

great

physicist or something, or that at least he'd have a head start in the
science subjects, wouldn't you?

No. It doesn't follow. Communication doesn't spell learning and acceptance
of the subjects you were discussing with your daughter.

I think most of this stuff about intra-uterine learning is a bunch of crap.
There are mothers trying to teach their kids language while in utero - give
me a break.
This is carrying the reality of parent-child communication to a ludicrous
extreme
thanks for your post, by the way.

It reacts to stimulus, period...meanwhile, there's no developed neural system
to transmit any sensations, let alone pain, to the brain.

You're the one claiming the fetus is conscious. Why the sudden 180?

You're on record as claiming that the fetus can "remember" experiences in
utero, so an explanation of your sudden reversal would be in order.
