At a sentencing hearing in Vermont District Court that lasted all
morning, several people testified, including a psychiatrist, a
Catholic deacon and Massey's ex-wife, painting a picture of a man who
has been using drugs and alcohol since the ninth grade, who has a
criminal record including convictions for simple assault, disorderly
conduct and violating abuse protection orders and adjudications for
two counts of burglary.

But, since he's Catholic, he's morally superior to atheists.
