[Social] Liberals...
...a.k.a. sensible, fair-minded, intelligent,compassionate, and
personal-liberty-defending egalitarians who constitute the primary
bulwark against the hateful tyranny that would sweep the nation
if the loathsome agendas of America's own home-grown Taliban,
the (IR)-Religious Radical Right -- the RRR Cult -- were to prevail...
...are experts at framing debates in their favor.
Of course they are! After all, they are *intelligent* enough to
BE social liberals, right? And a person would have to be incredibly
*dumb* to be UNable to frame debates when ALL of the relevant
facts SUPPORT the rights and liberties that they defend. In the
case of both of the RRR Cult's primary hate-agendas:
-- the crusade to FORCE millions of girls and women
to gestate-to-term against their will (a very real,
9-month-long form of RAPE)... and,
-- the crusade to *deny* access to gays of across-
the board EQUAL rights that all heterosexuals can
access with no problem... BASED of the *triviality*
of their sexual orientation. (I.e., on the ABSURD
basis of the way a group of people happen to
enjoy sex in *private*, which is NO one else's
business.)
....NO relevant *facts* even EXIST which can be used to argue
effectively in favor of those ludicrous and heinous stances.
So it's NO WONDER that when it comes to debating, egalitarians
win hands down. Their bigoted and doltish opponents have NOTHING
going for them in their debating arsenal but specious and vacuous
whining, propaganda, outright lies, shrill and dishonest emotional
appeals, and ludicrously empty rhetoric. NOTHING else.
(Want the proof of that? Just look at the postings and response
posts of the RRR Cultist (leaders or lemmings... it makes no diff-
erence) and you'll see that which at *first* glance appears to be
a logical argument, in many (but not most) cases. But those argu-
ments don't stand up to the TRUTH Test. Once assailed by the
bright spotlight of the relevant *facts*, the bigots' arguments, no
matter HOW well-organized they may seem to have been at first
glance, vaporize like early-morning ground fog under a brilliant
sunrise. NOTE: Just about the *only* thing that those bigots are
any good at is constructing and spewing lying propaganda. After
all, that's ALL they've had in their arsenal from Day One, so they've
become adept at it. But when that verbiage is SCRUTINIZED, one
sees very quickly that the arguments are DEVOID of relevant facts,
and thus are vacuous and ludicrous at bottom. So fall apart like a
house of cards in a Category 5 hurricane.)
Since the Foley fiasco hit the news, the emphasis has been
on evils lurking within the Republican Party.
GEE!!! What a... uh... "surprise." Another bright spotlight
being shone squarely on America's bigot-infested Culture of
Corruption.
Incredibly, political editor Brian E. Crowley of the Palm Beach Post
opined, "Rumors that Foley is gay have swirled around him for years.
... But on Friday, whether Foley was a homosexual or a heterosexual
no longer seemed to matter."
Really? Why would that be considered inconsequential?
The ANSWER? Because sexual orientation isn't even *remotely* the
issue in this case. Foley could *just* as easily have been a HETERO-
sexual predator whose attentions were focused upon FEMALE pages.
But just because he happened to be a GAY predator (and predators
are found within BOTH orientations; neither group is free of them),
the homophobic bigots of the RRR Cult dishonestly seized upon Foley's
sexual orientation in yet another LAME attempt to paint homosexuality
as the villain. Honesty is FAR from being the long suit of the RRR
Cult. It missed *that* mark by light-years!
To wit:

Correction: The correct name of the party is "the Democratic
Party." Or would you like to be consistent and refer to the
Republican Party as "the Republic Party?" Calling the Democratic
Party the "Democrat Party" sounds stilted and stupid. Which, of
course, is the objective of the bigots employing that terminology.
... embraces legalizing homosexual marriage...
Yes, to the extent that it RECOGNIZES that there is NO good
reason to deny marriage to any couple over such a triviality as its
gender composition. All anyone needs to do is look at the desperate
measures that bigots take to effect that denial. Such as passing
a host of laws entitled, "Defense of Marriage Act." "DEFENSE??
Against *what*?!?
Consider this: There is NO WAY that any opposite-sex couple's
marriage could even begin to be harmed if a same-sex couple in
their community finds that they can be legally married, and then ties
the knot. THAT is the FACT of the matter. The brilliant, spot-
lighting fact under which all of the specious and idiotic "arguments"
against same-sex marriage instantly crumble into dust.
We've seen this before, going back into the dark era when
segregationists (the equally-vapid equivalent of today's RRR cult
lemmings with respect to their mentality, hatefulness, and bigotry)
infested the South, and whined that "miscegenation" laws needed
to be retained lest interracial marriage would be the ruination of
society. In 1967, in "Loving vs. Virginia," the U.S. Supreme Court
very reasonably, logically, and sensibly struck down ALL of the
remaining laws against interracial marriage. And the sky didn't fall.
America is the better for it.
And once this moronic hatefulness toward same-sex marriage
becomes an equally-distant memory, society will be the better for
THAT, too.
