My open invitation to end hostilities |
Over the past few years with my involvement in this newsgroup, many things
have been said between myself and my adversaries.
While it is often common to see these types of relationships in newsgroups,
it isn't always beneficial to the overall good of a newsgroup.
Newsgroups should be there for people to discuss issues, agree or disagree.
I am equally guilty of throwing out hostile comments and making very
immature remarks.
I am offering a peace offering to my adversaries and making the offer that
we stop the stupidity, the harsh remarks, the lies (which we are all guilty
of), the accusations.
I am offering that we forget about all the things said in the past and we
agree to just put it behind us and not bring up old issues. Regardless if
they are claims that have been or not been proven, let's forget about it and
stop the foolishness that we all are guilty of displaying in this newsgroup.
This offer goes out to Adam H. James Keegan, Patrick Humphrey, George, David
Barnes, Ray Fischer, Louise Mallord, and anyone else whom I may have had
some hostile exchanges with.
I don't think it's necessary for one party to apologize or admit to
anything, as much as it is for the common good of the newsgroup that we stop
filling this newsgroup up with all these stupid, childish, immature, and
non-productive postings between ourselves.
I got to thinking about this offer after looking at some of the threads and
the LONG exchanges of posts between either myself and my adversaries, or my
adversaries between each other. I couldn't believe all the wasted space
that we have all put into these senseless exchanges.
All the claims, the lies, the false allegations. We are all guilty of it,
not one of us is any less guilty of the other.
A few days ago, I got to realizing just how serious this was getting when
David Barnes starting displaying my state government issued e-mail with the
intent on having others harrassing me through state e-mail. This is when I
started to think, this is getting out of hand and before someone truly gets
hurt or in serious trouble, we need to put an end to this.
Unfortunately one of the users in this newsgroup did attempt to start having
spam sent to my state e-mail, and that user may or may not only lose his
ability to post or use the internet at all with his ISP, but could possibly
be facing some legal charges as well. I don't know what will happen, but it
is truly unfortunate and I wish it had not happened.
There is no need for us to try and take our hostilities and indifferences
towards each other outside this newsgroup. We are all individuals and we
all have our own opinions. Some of us are very passionate about the issues
we wish to argue.

In regards to what has happened over the past few days and the situation
with my e-mail, I am willing to forget the whole matter since no real harm
was done. Although an apology would be appreciated, I realize that is
probably not going to happen. But for the sake of trying to keep this
newsgroup healthy, I am willing to forget what happened and let's get over
it.

Basically Frank, my invitation to end the hostilities is doing two things.
One, it is ending some of the hostilities I have had with a few. It
appears, at least on the surface, Adam H. and I are going to be more civil
towards each other, Ricky Ticket and I are going to be more civil to each
other.
No word from Barnes yet, and I am pretty sure that Humphrey will line up
with Louise. There is hope that at least Barnes and I can end this crap
that has been going on for three years.
It is weeding out the childish and the ones who can be adult. It is not
taking long at all to weed out keegan, louise, and fischer.
All three think that it is only possible if I was the one to apologize for
what THEY consider wrong doings. Note: They do not seem willing to admit to
their wrong doings or lies.
