The United States Navy is challenging the authenticity of Sen. John Kerry's
Vietnam War medals, in a development that could prove to be the most
damaging yet to the embattled Democrat's presidential campaign.
A Navy spokesman is calling Kerry's Silver Star citation with Combat V
"incorrect" as it appears on his campaign Web site, explaining in an

A Navy spokesman is calling Kerry's Silver Star citation with

Navy

never issued a Combat V at any time for the Silver Star.
So now the Navy can issue him the corrected DD214, as is their
responsibility. When can we expect to see a challenge to George
Bush

It is interesting that this story isn't reported in any of the major
media and that right at the bottom of the "story" is an ad for the
Swift Boat Liar's book.
In fact the only source for this "story" appears to be someone who
works for the blatantly pro-Bush NY Sun.

It is interesting that nobody from the Navy is actually identified.
And the only person identified by name is a retired Marine general.
And the only quotes don't actually mention Kerry.
