Hands sensitive to touch at 10.5 weeks? I never thought that would be
possible, but as always I could be proven wrong.
Regardless of what sort of sensations, pleasure, pain, etc, that the
fetus feels, it appears that the entire argument of abortion centers
around the fact that the fetus is not considered a person, and, even if
considered a person, that such fetus would have no right to use the
bodily resources of the woman without her ongoing consent.
The abortion laws may change in the future, but the reason behind such
changes would have more to do with the aims of the radical religious
right rather than the pain and sensations that a fetus may or may not
feel. And time and time again, the RRR don't care about pain or
suffering since they like to put people in prison for using harmless
drugs like heroin and cannabis and would force a cancer-ridden patient
to go on in dire agony by denying the patient a painless end to their
suffering. Why would they care about a fetus...they don't even care
about women, never mind a fetus!!!
