UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A Clermont County man will not go to jail for
running off with a 16-year-old girl.
Barry Pollard and Ashley Snell were in a church choir together and
disappeared in early October. The two returned two weeks later, and
Pollard was charged with two felony counts of interfering with
custody.
Monday, Pollard was sentenced to five years community control.
Snell's family told the judge that Pollard had called Snell from jail,
despite a court order not to do so.
Snell was not harmed during the time she was gone.
