One quick question. |
There are thousands upon thousands of people on waiting lists to adopt a
newborn baby.
Thousands upon thousands of babies are aborted because the mother
a) doesn't want to raise it.
b) can't afford the pregnancy.
c) was raped, etc...
If a pregnant woman doesn't want her child for reasons that would appear after
the baby is born, what is so wrong with giving it up for adoption?
Today's society doesn't look down on pregnant teenagers anymore, it simply says
"oh well" and moves on.
I firmly believe in the women's right to choose. There are a lot of choices
out there available to all women:
1) condoms
2) Pill
3) patch
4) diaphram
5) IUD
....and my personal favorite:
6) abstinence.

## Excuse me, not really. Most babies that would be added to the Foster
Care rolls would not be 100% healthy, white, blue eyed blondes. And didn't
another poster say BOYS were snatched right up while girl infants, although
white, were left behind? Why add a few million more to the thousands
already languishing in the system?
That's a post-pardum choice she may elect. It hasn't a thing to do with

## First because she stands the chance of death and complications for
HERSELF, including astronomical medical bills that can destroy her future
for many years to come, and ruin her credit. And if the baby isn't a WHITE
MALE there may be no one there who wants it. Sad but true. What if the
child has disabilities? There are thousands of bi-racial and minority kids
available - let those who want to adopt consider them.
** Which many men refuse to wear because it interferes with their

And a man's pleasure is more important than the possibility of "messing

## Apparently so, since men do not want to use condoms.

## No, I said men do NOT want to wear them.

Absolutely nothing, IF that is the woman's choice. However, that
still does not give you the right to force her to continue her
pregnacy against her will.
Today's society doesn't look down on pregnant teenagers anymore, it simply says
"oh well" and moves on.
Nothing wrong with that. And I am talking about "society's attitude",

All of which have failure rates, i.e. are not perfect. And that
includes when used in combination.
And all those choices you listed MUST be made prior to conception.
Once a woman is pregnant, her choices are reduced to two, continue the
pregnancy or get an abortion. There are no other valid choices
available (and I do not count suicide as a valid choice) to the woman
until the pregnancy ends in one manner or another.

How many married men do you know who would be happy in a SEXLESS marriage?
How many women?
Nothing is wrong with abstinence for teens but they will not practice it.
Surveys show up to 70% of teens have some sexual experience by age 16. Or
70% ADMIT it, the numbers may be higher. That was some combined survey from
early last year. As I mentioned in another post the age at which girls are
having sex has dropped to 13!!!!

Nothing and adoption is an option now in such situations. Unfortunately,

Children who have passed through their infant stage are also unlikely

Since abortion is not an option after birth adoption would appear to
be a viable option here.
Of course, this has nothing to do with the freedom of choice.
Today's society doesn't look down on pregnant teenagers anymore, it simply says

It is generally understood that the definition of the word
'choice' when used in this context is shorthand for the
freedom of a pregnant woman to decide whether to complete
her pregnancy or to terminate it. Any attempt to expand the
usage of the word beyond this narrow definition is nothing
more than an attempt create a situation which can be argued
because no argument can be sustained within the original and
correct usage.
If you are speaking to a group of programmers and mention
the word 'bug' no one will assume you are peaking of
termites, and if you are playing golf you are not likely to
insist an eagle is a birdie even if they both have feathers.
Attempts to expand the word 'choice' as used here is a
transparent and pathetic ploy.

There are other reasons that exist that you cannot even begin to

What is so wrong with adopting children that are already "in the

Today's society doesn't look down on pregnant teenagers anymore, it simply says
"oh well" and moves on.
That is what you think. You haven't any idea how difficult it is to
raise a child, that young, and yet, some of us have succeeded.
(I had my first child at eight-teen.)
I firmly believe in the women's right to choose. There are a lot of choices
out there available to all women:
1) condoms
2) Pill
3) patch
4) diaphram
5) IUD
All of which carry a failure rate - abstinence, too.
...and my personal favorite:
6) abstinence.
I bet the thought of married couples making passionate love to one
another really grates you! >-)

It does. It makes them crazy. The very thought of someone making love and
actually *GASP* enjoying it is more than they can handle. You're only
supposed to "tolerate" sex if you want to get pregnant. That's what happens
when religion goes to one's brain.....
