FORMER Anglican Bishop of Tasmania Phillip Newell was told of the
pedophile activities of disgraced priest Louis Victor Daniels as early
as 1987 - before Daniels committed a number of his crimes.
The Anglican Church has revealed that despite receiving complaints,
Bishop Newell sent Daniels to Burnie as rector in 1988 and then
appointed him Archdeacon of Burnie in 1989.
