OPERATION RESCUE SAYS "SOUTH DAKOTA DID IT!"
PIERRE, SD, Feb. 24 --/MNA PRESS/ -- Yesterday, South Dakota became the
first state since the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision
decriminalizing abortion, to pass a statewide ban on the procedure. The
State Senate gave final approval to the abortion ban, HB
1215, with an overwhelming vote of 23-12. The measure now awaits the
signature of Governor Mike Rounds, who has not indicated if he intends to
sign the bill into law.
Operation Rescue President Troy Newman was in Pierre last week to
hand-deliver letters to lawmakers from Miss Norma McCorvey in support of the
abortion ban. McCorvey was the "Jane Roe" who filed the original petition
that would eventually allow abortion in America. McCorvey has since has
since converted to Christianity and now actively works to end abortion.
"We are encouraged that South Dakota has shown courageous leadership in
protecting the most vulnerable among us, the pre-born," said
Newman "We urge Gov. Rounds to sign this historic and bold legislation,"
said Newman. Gov. Rounds has expressed concern that the law will certainly
be challenged, and that the cost of litigating this legislation to the
Supreme Court level will be a difficult burden for his small state to bear.
"We understand Gov. Rounds financial concerns about the cost of litigating
this law and promise, again, to do all we can to network with pro-life and
pro-family groups to help insure there are adequate resources to defend this
bill all the way to the Supreme Court," said Newman. "We can't put a cost on
protecting human life."

SD is also one of a few states that allows pharmacists to NOT fill a
birth control prescription
You cannot have it both ways.
You cannot be against abortion AND birth control.
Fewer pregnancies means fewer abortions.
How did they all get to be so fucking stupid??

Damn, that quote is true.
One is tempted to think that the current administration must be doing what
they think is right because they have to live in the world they're creating.
The problem is that they're becoming millionaires, and so they can use their
money to shield themselves from the world they're creating. They DON'T have
to live in the same world that people who aren't millionaires do.
It's horrible.

A baby that size is too small to abort.
They let it grow a bit bigger so that the machine can get a bit of purchase.
Nature aborts "babies" that size all the time. What are you doing about
it?
To say nothing of all the iddie biddie pre-fertilised "babies".

Nature kills attractive eighteen year olds. Maybe not as often as tiny
fetuses or newborn babies, but not so very infrequently either.
However lets say that I have two drugs, one of which will cure menengitis, a
disease which often kills otherwise healthy teenagers, and another which
will reduce spontaneous abortions of very early embryos.
Personally I would develop the first drug, but say that the second didn't
meet any real medical need, and quietly shelve it.
"Unborn babies have the same rights as people" and "abortion is immoral" are
two different propositions. You don't have to hold the first to hold the
other.
To say nothing of all the iddie biddie pre-fertilised "babies".

Nature kills attractive eighteen year olds.
And nature used to kill almost everybody, attractive or otherwise,
before they reached their 30s.
Maybe not as often as tiny
fetuses or newborn babies, but not so very infrequently either.
No maybe about it. If teenagers died of natural causes as often as what
the 'pro-life' typically refer to as 'unborn babies' then the death
toll would be greater than the black death, and it would be the biggest
public health emergency ever.
However lets say that I have two drugs, one of which will cure menengitis, a

Under which law should you be prosecuted for that?

two different propositions. You don't have to hold the first to hold the

Since I haven't mentioned either proposition what is the relevance?

Is that a fact? So tell me just how big does it have to be? No doubt
your answer is going to be very interesting.

About six weeks, counting from the first missed period rather than
conception.
A very small baby is technically very difficult to abort, because you are,
as you say, extracting a little full stop sized object from inside a human
body.

Which is why there are surgical abortions and chemical abortions.
