Possible problems for the pro-choice camp after Scott Peterson trial |
Before I give my opinion, I want the record to show that I don't
advocate the killing of the unborn under almost any circumstance. The
only exception that I think it can be justified is when the mothers
life is truly in danger.
Now, natrually some pro-abortion idiots in here are going to try and
distort what I say after this post. Let them be shown for the true
idiots they really are.
The verdict in the Scott Peterson trial is going to cause some
problems down the road for the pro-abortion camp. Those who advocate
women killing their unborn.
In my opinion Scott Peterson got what he deserved. I am glad that the
jury was able to find him responsible for the death of his wife and
the unborn child. What happens to him after the penalty phase, will
be what he deserves.
But this raises questions.
A woman can choose to kill her unborn. Many in the pro-abortion
advocate her right to kill the unborn at any stage, even late term.
Yet Scott Peterson has been found guilty of second degree murder of
his unborn son.
This sends a message that it is o.k. for a woman to kill, based on the
argument it is her body. But if a man kills the unborn, he can be
tried for murder.
I would be interested in hearing the opinions of others on this issue.
Those who normally distort and lie, will be ignored. Intelligent and
reasonable opinions please.

I think this will cause a very big controversy for both sides. The
pro-life
side will stand behind this trial and use it to make their points on

the fetus is a person' and the pro-choice side will , likely, try to
overturn
this conviction on the basis that there was only one life taken and
that 2
counts of murder is unproven.
The fact that women can go to any abortion clinic and pay a person to
do what Mr. Peterson was convicted, and will eventually be punished
for
doing, is a contradiction. It is either black or it is white. Either
it is murder
in all situations, or it is not. I think the country will be divided
in
this and I would not be surprised to see some very passionate protests
from both sides.
It will be interesting to see where the majority falls. There will be
no
hazy shaded lines after the final decisions are made. There will be
no 'only in the case of' exceptions.
I still believe that religion needs to be kept from this topic.
Christians
are not to judge and are not to 'thump' and tell others what is right
and
what is wrong. Personal belief is just that.. it is personal. Any God
you
believe in will have his/her final say and judgment on what you did
during
your life. This is not for us to say, we are not the judge.
This subject goes beyond faith and Gods, it goes right to the actual
moral
fiber. We all have to face the music for the choices we make. Right or
wrong, good or bad. In this life or possibly the next. But one
person's
opinion should not be forced on others. That goes for BOTH sides
of this argument. If a person asks for help and advise, that is
another
story. But I don't want a pro-choice person telling me I HAVE to
agree with them and see things their way, any more than I can expect
a pro-choicer to HAVE to agree with the way I see things.
We can discuss this the sun burns out, but in the end, we will all do
what
WE feel is the right thing to do. The only thing that may change that
choice
is if there is a law in affect that will prevent us from doing what
we think is right, or provoke us to do what we think is wrong.
This will be one of the biggest issues our country has ever seen.
I think it may become very ugly.

Reject. Meanwhile, continue your whining about how unfair it is that a man
could be prosecuted as Peterson was...because you're obviously not interested
in the annoying detail of CPC Section 187, which defines murder as the killing
of a human being *or fetus* with malice aforethought. In other words,
Peterson got nailed with the second-degree count because the late Laci
obviously had intended to give birth, and her choice to do so was denied by
his murdering her.

Wrong, Cop Reject. You contact your local FBI office and ask *them* if I was
arrested on June 3, 2000, in Lexington. It's a very safe bet that you will
never do even that -- because they might be interested in your claiming that
the forgery with my name cut-and-pasted into it was truthful.
Get that out of the way, and you may be worth listening to. Until then,
you're target practice.
