PSALM 23 IN HEBREW
(http://audios.dtison.net/dtison/hebrew/narrations/audio.php?NAME=Psalm_023&BITRATE=16)
-it is so very beautiful...
<A Psalm of David.>
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me
in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil;
my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

There would be many ways to prevent abortions:

Or, perhaps, as time goes by, all people will realize a fetus isn't

Then your claim she made a mistake was obviously YOUR mistake.

what is wrong with pro-lifers. You care more about your feeling than
the life of the child that you force into the world.
Oh, come on, you are getting polemic. I did not say that the children
are "mistakes" - that is what you put into my mouth.
I don't think so:
1) People should start preventing becoming pregnant.
Agreed. But what if they don't?
Then they should stand to their mistakes.
They made a mistake
that they did not prevent becoming pregnant if they do not want a child.
Please do not misinterpret me for your own puposes.
And what does "standing by there mistakes" entail?
Get the baby, what else? It might not be comfortable for a while, but better that
an abortion. Many women get problems with it later. A baby is no illness.
2) They should think of giving the child away for adoption, and at
least
people have not killed their own children.
Adoption agencies are currently unable to get rid of those they have.
Oh, really? That is different here in Germany. Maybe one should think more
internationally
then.
The reason it is different in Germany is because the unwanted children
there are white. In the US, the most popular location for getting
adopted babies is Russia, because they are white. Healthy white babies
here are hard to come by. Minorities are a dime a dozen. And sadly,
they are also the most likely to be unwanted.
That saddens me much to hear this.
Sad but true.
Okay, but we know now, and we should care and do something against this unrighteousness.
3) People should think of the fact that times might change, and what
they
regard to be impossible today might become true tomorrow. But that
would
be too late
for the aborted human being.
Or, perhaps, as time goes by, all people will realize a fetus isn't
human at all.
But it is. Have you seen pictures? Have you heared their heart pounding? I
have,
when I was pregnant... Have you felt their movements in your belly? I
have...
Believe me, I am a mother, I can tell you, they ARE humans. It was my
child
the very
first moment, and I even knew at once that I was pregnant, that God had
given
me to
a human life to take care for it. It was so wonderful. Why do people spoil
all this?
Your opinion is noted.
Fine. Thank you.
Love and peace,
At least she is a polite prolifer.
Whal else? Would it change anything if I got angry? No, that cannot be the way... You see,
I can see that women who want to abort are in a crisis. I would not help them or the unborn
if I accused them. I want to help them, not to accuse them. I am a human too, and I am not
perfect, either.

<A Psalm of David.>
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
So why do many faithful Christians want?
Good question... why?
And why do they have abortions?
People want because they have needs. Obviously, this is yet
another
of many contridictions between reality and the Bible. People
have
abortions because they see abortions as necessary.
Yes, they do. But they are wrong with that.
There would be many ways to prevent abortions:
1) People should start preventing becoming pregnant.
Agreed. But what if they don't?
Then they should stand to their mistakes.
So, you feel that if a person is irresponsible, if a person makes a
"mistake," if a person doesn't want a child but gets pregnant, he or
she should "stand by their mistakes?" The child here will be the
"mistake," right? And the child will pay the consequence. This is
what is wrong with pro-lifers. You care more about your feeling than

That's the question, isn't it?
Many women get problems with it later. A baby is no illness.
No, but my interest turns to the child once it is born. Don't you
think it cruel to bring a child into the world that is unwanted, and
have it raised by people who were too irresponsible to prevent it and
now feel forced by the government to have the child and care for it
simply because it made someone else, someone who now relinquishes
responsibility for the child? You say "it might not be comfortable for
a while," but it sounds like it YOUR comfort you are concerned about.
2) They should think of giving the child away for adoption, and at
least
people have not killed their own children.
Adoption agencies are currently unable to get rid of those they

I wasn't complaining, I was complimenting you...
I suspect you don't understand, but you are the most difficult type of
"pro-lifer" there is with which to argue. I disagree with the logic of
your position, as I would any pro-lifer. However, you appear to be
pro-life because of an inner desire to save what you see as innocent
lives. Most prolifers are in it for the control, and most importantly,
the punishment apsects.
Do you just oppose abortion personally, or do you endorse making
abortion illegal, too?

I wrote "person", not "human". We are made after God's image, but that does not
mean we are identical.
Christians know many things about their God. He has characteristics like being
good, just, true, caring, loving... He can speak to me. He listens to me. All those
are features a person has. But He is much, much more, and I can only understand
those features that I know... The others are unknowable, but many are not.
The Bible explains this much better. It is a book which makes clear that God

I wrote "person", not "human".
A person IS a human:
person (pûr´sen) noun
A living human being. Often used in combination: chairperson;
spokesperson; salesperson.
2.An individual of specified character: a person of importance.
3.The composite of characteristics that make up an individual
personality; the self.
4.The living body of a human being: searched the prisoner's person.
<end>
As you can see, if God is a person, then he too must be a human.
We are made after God's image, but that does not mean we are identical.
So you are saying that God looks exactly like a human, but is not?
Christians know many things about their God. He has characteristics like being
good, just, true, caring, loving... He can speak to me. He listens to me. All those
are features a person has. But He is much, much more, and I can only understand
those features that I know... The others are unknowable, but many are not.
The National Catholic Almanac offers us a generous assortment of
attributes from which to choose. According to this source, God is
"almighty, eternal, holy, immortal, immense, immutable,
incomprehensible, ineffable, infinite, invisible, just, loving,
merciful, most high, most wise, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent,
patient, perfect, provident, supreme, true".
This is certainly an impressive list, but one problem immediately
becomes apparent: included in this catalog of characteristics is
"incomprehensible." One must wonder how it is possible to declare
God's incomprehensibility and simultaneously list twenty two
additional attributes. If God cannot be comprehended, how can the
National Catholic Almanac offer us a string of attributes whose
function, presumably, is to enable us to understand the nature of God?
The Bible explains this much better. It is a book which makes clear that God
has a relation to his creatures, and it shows what a kind of relation this is.
Have you read it?
I'd have to say yes and no. I've read the old and new testaments, and
I even have them both on a CD. The reason I said "yes and no", is that
there are many versions to choose from that I haven't read.
For example:
CEV: Contemporary English Version
GNT: Good News Translation
KJV: King James Version
NKJV: New King James Version
NIV: New International Version
NASB: New American Standard Bible
NJB: New Jerusalem Bible
NRSV: New Revised Standard Bible
VP:Version Popular Bible
Revised English Bible
Etc., etc.
Which Bible(s) do you mean, and which bible(s) are right or wrong?

Yes, a human is a person, but a person does not necessarily have to be

Yes, He is - partly... He was... He has overcome...
We are made after God's image, but that does not mean we are identical.

No, I did not say that. I wrote we were made after his image, like dolls do not have
to look like their creator.

We can understand parts only, but we do not have the complete picture.
But we know certain characteristics of God, yes, He revealed them to us.
The Bible explains this much better. It is a book which makes clear that God
has a relation to his creatures, and it shows what a kind of relation this is.

I do not know them all, I prefer the King James Version, but I would say
that every Bible is a good Bible if it brings you closer to God. I do not think
there is one that is not good in your list - It is simply a question of taste for me,
because God can write straight on bent lines...

Sorry for the late response, by the way, I was kept up, and had a technical
problem.
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish
things.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
1Co 13:9-13

There is really no place to go on this particular issue if you
continue to insist that a "person", is not a "human".
The definition I gave you in a prior post, clearly stated that
a "person" is indeed a "human".

God, I was referring to the God that allegedly existed long before
Jesus was invented. The God of the O.T. Is he/she/it also a "person",
