Object: Put a Positive Spin on This One - I Dare You
I predicted the failure of Air America when it was announced. At the
time I said that liberals aren't interested in or capable of discussing
facts and that because there are only so many ways to say "because I
say so" this bastion of left wing thought, would never last. Well I
must admit it's lasted longer than I expected. Is that because I was
wrong about the reasons the network would fail. Absolutely not. What
I was wrong about was the depths to which people like George Sorros
would reach into their pockets in a futile attempt to save this
inherently flawed attempt at countering Rush Limbaugh, Michael Reagan,
and all the other highly successful conservative radio talk show hosts.
As a confirmed conservative myself, I've got to say this scenario has
turned out to be better than I had hoped. Not only is Air America
experience a most painful - and deserved - death, it's bankrupting
people like Sorros. It just doesn't get any better than that.
New Your Post, Aug. 3, 2006
THE liberal Air America radio network is going to be harder to hear in
New York.
Next month, it is switching stations - to a weaker AM station, WWRL
(1600 AM).
Al Franken and his lefty colleagues are leaving WLIB (1190 AM)
apparently because they couldn't come up with enough cash for the
owners, former Manhattan Borough President Percy Sutton and his son,
Pierre.
Starting Sept. 1, Air America will be on WWRL, at the top of the dial
where AM signals are weakest - especially at night, when greater FCC
restrictions apply.
As The Post reported last March, the ratings-challenged liberal network
failed to renew its two-year lease with the Suttons.
Relations between the Suttons and the network's execs were rocky from
the start and only got worse after the network's shaky finances became
known and a scandal broke out involving loans to Air America from a
Bronx charity.
WLIB's future after Sept. 1 is not known, although radio industry
heavyweight Randy Michaels - the builder of 1,200-station Clear Channel
- has expressed interest in leasing the station as a base for a new
talk-radio network.
Michaels declined comment yesterday and the Suttons didn't return calls.

Still deleting what you can't respond to, I see. The only thing I was
wrong about was the amount of sunk cost that would come out of the
pockets of people like George Sorros. The venture was a loser from day
one. Speaking of losers.....

FYI, all a.a. readers who are familiar with Craig Chilton:
Craig has claimed no fewer than six times that he is an elected
official of the Iowa Republican party. To be specific, he says that
he has been *RE*-elected the State Central Committee:
BUT: I did some homework by speaking directly to members of the Iowa
Republican party, specifically, Marlys Popma, Darrell Kearney, Joel
Hannahs, Chad Barth, and Carolyn McGoldrick. I received responses
from some of them, and they did not recognize the name Craig Chilton.
Mr. Kearney flat out said Craig was not a member of the central
committee whatsoever.
Okay, so maybe they aren't entirely informed. But, what about the
website? Wouldn't the Local Party Officials directory for Black Hawk

Hm, no Craig.
Let's try somewhere else:

Nope.

Ah! Still playing the old game of deleting the material for which you
have no response. Only a narcissistic woman like you could ever think
its appropriate to kill 4 thousand babies a day so 12 women can
eliminate pregnancy as a risk to their medical condition. Think about
it, folks. That's what this boils down to. Only 3 % of abortions are
performed to reduce the risk to a woman's life. The rest are all
choices about life style.
And it's all coming home to roost. Just look at Western Europe being
overtaken by immigrants who, oh by the way, don't believe in abortion.
It's been a self-resolving problem all along. She who kills her babies
has no one to continue her family line or her example. She who has her
babies leaves behind people to procreate and follow her example.

Really, Rhode Island Red? Let's see - my wife has been pro-choice about as
long as I have, which didn't stop her from having a daughter back in the
mid-1970s...said daughter is also pro-choice, and she's been pregnant three
times, and we have three grandchildren as a result, the youngest of which was
born Monday of last week. Your theory is slightly broken.

It's all about statistics. The fact that you can point to an exception
is of no significance to me. You people, by definition, are a dying
breed. And isn't that the way your Darwinian theory said it's supposed
to work. Survival of the fitest? The fitest procreate. The weak ones
don't.

You're not talking to "you people", moron. You're talking to one pro-choicer
who knows far better than you ever will. Might as well enjoy your delusions
of respect, since you're a tiny man in a tiny state.

I'll take the response from someone who has nothing better to do than
post almost a thousand posts a month with a very large grain of salt.
So whose time are you stealing these days?

Do your own detective work...and obviously, I'm stealing the time you take to
whine at me.

I love it when they try to threaten you by indicating they know who you
are.
Go for it, loser!

Well, it's not exactly a secret, considering it's posted as your user name.
It's just a coincidence your county-sized state is also included, right?

Go for it, loser!

For all you know, she could be a neighbor to you...

It's all in your name, silly.
Now will you reply to my query properly? No paranoid substitutes

To know how I know, you have to do some research. What happened is
pretty well documented in past postings. Ask him why he no longer
works at Rice.

She already knows why...and she knows better than you ever will. (What you
say is documented has very little to do with the why and when.)
