...But hates fags, according to some of his representatives on earth -
whose words are sucked up by tens of thousands of bigots with no
protestations from most other good Christians, while the ones that do
protest are called - you guessed it - fags by the republicans on these

Meanwhile these fake Christsans use these words to justify holding

Alas as a typical atheist you know just enough about the bible to have no
idea of what you're talking about. Try taking a few moments to try and understand
the bible in it's entirety and you'll understand why a Christian can eat bacon
and shrimp. Using tarot cards are however a sin as is homosexuality.

Right. And NO person who has ever lived, other than Jesus (who
was God, incarnate) has ever been sinless. So per the Bible, it's
accept Jesus, or be ultimately doomed.
Of course, those who DO accept Him STILL will face His judgment
at the Bema Seat, based on what they did with their lives. Whatever I

Some person **you** are to pretend to be knowledgeable about the
Bible. You'ur a fraud and an ignoramus. You don't even know the
difference between the Bema Seat Jugment of Chritians by Christ, and
His Great Throne Judgment 1,000 years later for those who never
accepted Him!
The former is Jesus' evaluation and judgment of His followers on
the basis of the works they performed during their lives. None of
those Christians will be consigned to hell, but the amount and nature
of the rewards they recieve (or don't) will vary vastly.
TRASHING Jesus' key command to his followers (as you do) that
they show love and compassion to their neighbors is a **very** POOR
start.

ROTFL!!!! What a CROCK of lying and/or ignorant crapola.

If homosexuals were hated no body would bother to try and
save their souls.

The Bible makes it clear that all sins are EQUAL in God's eyes.

That's correct. Any and all sin is enough to condemn a soul
to hell for eternity.

Whatever
I may have to answer for, when that time comes, I at least will be able
to present myself as having **always** been a staunch DEFENDER
of personal liberties.
translation: he works for the devil tricking people into believing their
disobedience to God is only their right to personal liberties.

LOL!!!!
Wrong. For Christians, if is good for them to remember that part
of God's plan included instilling free will into humanity, rather than
overseeing a race of mindless automatons. And TO the human race,
He also provided guidance. One example of which is Jesus' KEY
teaching: that we show love and compassion to our neighbors. And
the Handbook that He provided -- the Bible -- neither authorizes nor
appoints ANY person to act as **enforcers** of its precepts, either
real -- or far WORSE, as is usually the case, MISperceived ones and
phony & hateful NON-Biblical dogmas, as is the case with the RRR
cultists and their deceptive and lying leaders. Who TRULY fit the
pattern of the False Teachers that the Bible prophecied would infest
the human race in these times. The Bible appointed NO Gestapo.
And for NON-Christians, it is good for them to see what the Bible
DOES and does NOT teach. It contains not one single word of
condemnation for abortion, and there is NO Commandment that deals
with homosexuality, for example. For the latter, the cultists have to
dredge up Old Testament writings that became extinct at the demise
of the dispensation that had been in effect, those thousands of years
ago... and on the *opinion* of ONE disciple. (Jesus said NOTHING
about or aganst homosexuality.) ALSO for non-Christians: How
THEY choose to deal with God... or not... is entirely THEIR business.

So IF homosexuality were a sin, those who "commit" it are no
more sinful than a cop on the beat who lifts an apple from a vendor's
cart. Or a person who eats bacon. Or shrimp. Or plays with tarot
cards. Or wears mixed fabrics.

Alas as a typical atheist you...

Alas, as a typical ignoramus, you wrongly assume that all
Christians who don't happen to be hateful and dumb enough
to subscribe to the mindless and loathsome bigotry of the RRR
cult just **have** to be atheists. (CLUE: Only about 1 in every
100 Christians is that stupid... a fact that was not lost on one of
the biggest bigots of the '80s, Anti-Choice leader Randall Terry,
who... (LOL!!!!)... actually **bemoaned** that fact, publicly, on
his radio show.) A few million more PASSIVELY sympathize
with the RRR cult's agendas, but in that capacity, they are
**harmless** bigots. And even combined with the activist bigots,
they still are well in the minority.

So -- Making that assumption about normal, sensible, and
tolerant Christians is pathetic. But it is always good for the
fence-sitters in these groups to see such obvious proof of just
HOW moronic a person has to be, just to BE a cultist of the
"Religious" Radical Right.

Using tarot cards are ... a sin as is homosexuality.

And yet WHO are the targets of the viciousness and hate-
mongering of losers like you? NOT the fortune-tellers. The
gays... whom you incorrectly seem to perceive as being vulnerable.
Guess what? They're not. Just like the blacks, 40 years earlier,
they are vigorously fighting back against the mindless bigotry of
lowlifes like you. And they have the support of more than 100
million fair-minded **hetero**sexual Americans in their march to
full access to the EQUAL rights to which they have always been
entitled.

SO, hypocritical loon -- why aren't you out there trying to
harrass THOSE folks with EQUAL vigor and zeal?

It's because you have NO life, and GET OFF on being a
bigot, isn't it? Admit it -- just like most of your bone-ignorant
ilk, you're just a pathetic and sorry loser with rock-bottom
self-esteem who's desperately seeking acceptance... even
if its from your fellow lowlifes. Which is as good a level of
acceptance as you can ever possibly have. What an
"accomplishment."

Which Bible are you referring to?
Here is a list of the ~seven deadly sins~:
Pride: is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes
with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been
called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as
Vanity.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Envy: is the desire for others' traits, status, abilities, or
situation.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gluttony: is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one
requires.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lust: is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anger: is manifested in the individual who spurns love and opts
instead for fury. It is also known as Wrath.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Greed: is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm
of the spiritual. It is also called Avarice or Covetousness.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sloth: is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
<end>
I'm guilty of every one of them, as are most people. Sin is merely
a tool used by religion to control the ~flock~. You sin, then
get absolution. Then sin again, etc. It's a pretty good con actually.
Actuallu, that "absolution" crap IS a con. Going back 'way over
1,000 years. One of the primary tool that the world's LARGEST cult,
the Roman catholic church, has employed to contol the masses that
it has brainwashed.
ONLY ***God*** can provide that sort of forgiveness. An NO
intermediaries are necessary. (The Bible is **very** clear on all of
that, so it's no wonder that the RCC so vigorously resisted the
capability for the people to possess the Bible, a few centuries back,
before that got beyond its ability to control!)
Most *other* Christians know better than to fall for that
I think Thomas Jefferson put it in proper perspective:
Thomas Jefferson was arguably one of the most astute of the
Founding Fathers -- and possibly **the** most astute.
Most *other* Christians know better than to fall for that
"absolution" baloney.
As you probably know, I'm an atheist.
Yes. And I fully respect your right to be one, as would ALL
**sensible** and fair-minded Christians. In line with the Great
commission to His followers by Jesus, we are obliged to attempt
to present the gospel message to you and other non-Christians...
but NEVER to attempt to FORCE it upon you, or overtly threaten
you with perdition if you chose not to accept it. Indeed, the Bible
makes it clear that when a perosn isn't interested in it, we should
simply "shake the sand from our shoes" and be on our way.
Most people I know are Christians in one form or another, and
I agree that they don't "fall for that 'absolution' baloney", nor do
they fall for the absurd [and] narrow-minded fundamentalist rhetoric
that is commonly found in Usenet groups such as this one.
It is a shame that the vast majority of actual and normal,
fair-minded Christians simply IGNORE the hateful and damaging
antics of the RRR cultists who are painting Christianity in such
a bad light through their obnoxious noisomeness. thus, there are
relatively few people in here who are the combination of BOTH
egalitarian and Christian, standing up for people's rights against
bigotry, and openly opposing the hatefuless of the transedomina-
tional RRR cultists... as I do. But rest assured, there are tens of
millions of people who feel as I do, but simply are too busy with
their everyday lives to join the battle, here in Usenet, and
elsewhere. If I didn't own my own business, and have the capa-
bility to delegate so much work to my staff, I also might have
insufficient time for doing that, so to that extent, I can understand.
this.
I respect the right of anyone to practice their brand of religion,
so long as they don't try to have my life ruled by their dogma.
That puts you LIGHT-YEARS ahead of the RRR cultists.
My wife is a Christian and is of the R.C. variety. Some members
of her family treated me with disdain for my atheistic position.
that put themselves above others, as they do. It's not very
I listened to Larry King's interview with Ron Reagan a couple
of nights ago, on CNN, and it reinforced my belief that many
atheists have EXPONENTIALLY more genuinely-Christian charity
in their souls than ALL of the bigots of the RRR cult put together.
