I marvel that you would attempt such an argument. You see, there are
a lot of abled-bodied young men and women in college or in high-paying
jobs who shout their support of the war in Iraq to the skies. Yet
when it is suggested that they "walk their talk", they refuse to leave
their books or their jobs to join the Army or Marines to *do

I'd bet that you support the war in Iraq and that you are young and
fit enough to join the military. If that is the case, why haven't
you?

you are right. I have thought about that very issue within myself. I
do support the war because there are people in this world who face
terrifying oppression and are too scared to defend themselves - and
you are right that if my husband were drafted I would be PISSED and
would want him to come home.
But that is because I didn't marry a soldier nor is my calling to go
to war. My war is here at home where more than a million unwilling
soldiers are brutally murdered in cold blood at the hands of the very
people who should have welcomed them into the world.

So you support a war which is killing people by the hundreds of

in order to save the lives of fetuses.
You, kiddo, are nuts. Bonkers. Raving loony. A murderous lunatic.

Did I read that right??? Did you just say that you would be angry if
your husband was drafted or enlisted to fight on behalf of people who
face oppression and cannot defend themselves? But isn't that a noble

Did I mention I served in the Air Force right after Highschool in
97? My service term happened to end the year of 9-11. I didn't have
to go to war, but I did go through boot camp and the Texas heat - but
although I never had to go to war I think I have done a heck of a lot
more in that area than you have - am I right?
I am not going to be a prideful liar and say - "I would let my husband
go to war willingly if he was drafted" because anyone who says that IS
a liar - hello NOONE likes war - but it makes it worthwhile when we
are defending the lives of woman & children & husbands without
rights. I can't say that I am as brave as the people on the ground in
IRAQ or anywhere else - and I wont pretend to be. But I can do my
best here at home to fight for other people's lives who's war started
28 years before 9-11.

No. You are quite wrong. You're lucky that you served in the Air
Force, because if you had served in the Army or Marines, you would
have been recalled to active duty and possibly sent to Iraq. Which is
what has happened to many Americans. They have had to leave their
jobs and their families to serve in YOUR stead. And it is sowing
chaos into their lives - many have lost their jobs, their marriages,
even had to file bankruptcy.
Pat Tillman gave up a multi-million dollar professional football
contract to enlist. So you are wrong. You are young enough, fit
enough and experienced enough to resume serving your country in
uniform, but you are leaving that job for others, like so many other
chickenhawks.

There was no "pro-life" movement before abortion became generally
legal in the U.S. This is because moralizing busybodies didn't care
about abortion as long as it was illegal, dangerous and a source of
shame. But women were having abortions at about the same rate
*before* Roe v. Wade as after. Women have been using abortion to
manage their reproductive capacities for millennia. It is a 100%
certainty that more than one of your female ancestors had at least one
abortion. And if they hadn't, you might not be here!

I would add there wasn't a "pro-life" movement until about 1980-81. It
was ushered in with President Reagan and the "Moral Majority".

I agree the war being waged by Pro-life is very much like the war in
Iraq, causing much grief to the innocent, and if you win your victims
will suffer even more. A war against the defenseless, causing much
death and torment to your victims.
