My, you *are* a DELUDED one, aren't you?

They want a country with Family VALUES and a stop to
the deviants who want to turn America into a land of freaks.

Yep. And HATRED is **not** a family value.

So here's a solution to the problem you just described.

All you deviant and control-freakish RRR cult freaks need to
do is move up to Canada. Canadians are a good-hearted people,
with a great sense of humor. So you can give them something
NEW to laugh at!

Meanwhile, you'll be hearing us laugh at you all the way from down
here in the USA once we OUST Bush this fall, take our country back,
and once again have RESPECT for personal and private individual
liberties and rights.

"Hasta la vista, Warmonger-in-Thief!"

Isn't [same-sex] marriage supposed to be legal in Canada?

It is. In many way, Canada is FAR advanced over the USA. That's
one of the ways.

If that is true why would anyone want to move there unless
they were homo?

Probably because living in a FAIR-minded, sensible, and egalitarian
country is ALWAYS preferable to living in one containing mindless and
hateful bigots, all else being equal.

Not really. If I said a soul does not exist I would be expected to
prove it. But when someone talks about a soul or anything else as if
it does exist they should be prepared to prove their statement. This
doesn't seem to be a problem except in the area of religion where a
tremendous amount of squirming and frantic tap dancing seems to occur
regularly.
proving non-existence: when an arguer cannot provide the evidence for
his claims, he may challenge his opponent to prove it doesn't exist
(e.g., prove God doesn't exist; prove UFO's haven't visited earth,
etc.). Although one may prove non-existence in special limitations,
such as showing that a box does not contain certain items, one cannot
prove universal or absolute non-existence, or non-existence out of
ignorance. One cannot prove something that does not exist. The proof
of existence must come from those who make the claims.

So you are saying there is evidence, but you can't show it. And you will
"leave it at that" so in other words, you have no evidence that a soul
exists and you are dancing around the question. You cannot even define
what a soul actually is, much less prove your claim that it exists.
You may like to believe in things that are completely unsubstantiated,
but that does not mean others share your beliefs. Let me remind you
that I consider the existence of a soul, God, and anything spiritual to
be an open question. I make neither a claim that they exists, not a
claim that they do not exist so I have nothing to prove to anyone either
way.

Not really. If I said a soul does not exist I would be expected to
prove it.

Well I can't, but I think there is evidence that suggest that we all do have
a soul.
And I leave it at that.

So you are saying there is evidence, but you can't show it. And you will
"leave it at that" so in other words, you have no evidence that a soul
exists and you are dancing around the question. You cannot even define
what a soul actually is, much less prove your claim that it exists.

This is typical of Osprey's replies, regarding the religious claims he
makes. When I've asked him to substantiate similar claims in the past,
he either has no answer, or accused me of being
anti-religion/Christian, narrow minded, etc. Expect no more from him
on this particular issue. I've always been a questioner, and have
tried to separate truth from fiction. He'll never let truth get in the
way of his delusions, and on occasion demand that you disprove
what he says.

You may like to believe in things that are completely unsubstantiated,
but that does not mean others share your beliefs. Let me remind you
that I consider the existence of a soul, God, and anything spiritual to
be an open question. I make neither a claim that they exists, not a
claim that they do not exist so I have nothing to prove to anyone either
way.

Not with you I will not, and many other atheist.
There are some intelligent atheist with open minds, that are objective and
yes I would with them.

It requires an open mind to be an atheist in the first place.

Would you agree that there is a big difference between
"strong evidence" and your opinion?

anti-religion/Christian, narrow minded, etc. Expect no more from him
on this particular issue. I've always been a questioner, and have
tried to separate truth from fiction. He'll never let truth get in the
way of his delusions, and on occasion demand that you disprove
what he says.

You just proven my point.

How? By stating the truth?

Do you know what the truth is?

Sure:
You claim there is "strong evidence" of a soul.
TRUTH: There is none, or it would have been stated long ago.
You then claim that you "think" there is evidence of a soul.
TRUTH: you only have the Bible to use as you evidence, and
that is equivalent to using Star Trek to prove the existence of
Klingons.
Truth is conformity to fact or actuality. When you make statements
like "strong evidence of a soul" you are not stating truth, you are
stating belief.

Wait a minute Robert. You told SMH that there is "strong evidence"
that a soul exists. All that was asked, is that you state it.
Now you say you won't explain why YOU think a soul exists.
Would you agree that there is a big difference between
"strong evidence" and your opinion?

It's really very simple. If no soul exists that invalidates one of
the basic points in his religion, and that cannot be allowed to
happen. Therefore the existence of his religion and it's requirements
and suppositions are proof of the existence of a soul, and all the
evidence that is needed.
See? I too can think like a theocrat.

Well I can't, but I think there is evidence that suggest that we all do have

And I leave it at that.

It is amazing how many people say the same thing.

Way to dodge a straight question. Just like you have "evidence" of a soul
(NDE, ghosts...), I, too have evidence of your debt, you rapist. I believe
it should be further investigated.

The need for proof, is to prove that a soul can exist without a
body, or functioning brain. Lacking proof, is reason to reject a
belief.
