25 years ago, a woman wanted to be Jewish. Rather then go though all
the trouble of doing a conversion what she did was annouce to the local
shule board that she was Jewish. She managed to get a friend of hers
who was Jewish to sign a paper to say she was Jewish and based on all
of this, the shule accepted her and her daughter as Jews and members.
Years later her daughter married a Jewish man. They are now bring up
the kid as a Jew.
So we have Grandmother who saids she is Jewish.
Mother that saids she is Jewish.
Now is the child Jewish?
