I've published free (GPL, open source) software to aid in grass-roots
dissemination of information, bypassing mainstream media censorship.
It allows you to create huge posters (5 foot on a side,
or more) for only the cost of the printer paper and ink.
It installs a new "virtual printer" on your computer, when you print
something to it a preview dialog comes up and gives you the choice of
printing as normal or enlarging to create a poster.
A poster is printed to multiple pages, there are "cut guides" printed
that tell you which edges to cut off and how to put it together. The
image overlaps for 1/4 inch at the edges so the whole thing can be
perfectly aligned. Text in "scalable" fonts enlarge without any loss
of quality, no jagginess no matter how much enlargement.
The result is nearly professional quality.
This can make a huge difference for grass-roots political activity.
You don't have to go to Fed Ex/Kinkos to have a big poster printed, you
don't have to worry or feel embarrased or odd if your poster content
will raise the sheeple's eyes at Kinkos.
Currently the OS supported are Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows
Server 2003, and Windows XP .
