There are good arguments for an independent Palestinian
State.

Everyone seems to forget the skullduggery that went on in
Seminole
County, Florida, where the Republican registrar invited her fellow
party members to touch-up a bunch of absentee ballot applications
from regis- tered Republicans by writing in their registration
number on the application if they forgot to, thereby ensuring that
an absentee ballot got in the hands of someone likely to vote for
Bush. No such invitation was extended to Democratic party
officials. The incomplete applications from registered Democrats
were discarded, instead. A judge ruled against the registrar,
after the election, condemning her action, but she didn't take the
logical and fair step and declare all absentee ballots cast in that
county void because of the tampering. Bush would have lost those
ill-gained votes and definitely lost the election thereby.

who forgets the lessons of Watergate will do well not to be surprised to
see such history repeating itself over and over again, unabated. The
sad legacy of the so-called "Moral Majority" (which never was even
remotely close to being either moral OR a majority), started in that same
era -- the mid-'70s -- by Jerry Falwell, is what has been since around
1990 the RRR cult. The cult of the Religious Radical Right. A collec-
tion of hateful and control-freakish PSEUDO-Christians having a most
UN-Christian agenda that seeks to impose change upon society in the
form of lost individual liberties with regard to any behaviors that the
cultists happen to disagree with. They claim to be acting in defense of
Biblical precepts, but in the process, cafeteria-style, they conveniently
OVERLOOK everything in the Bible that negates their actions. For
example, the Bible NEVER authorized *anyone* to act as ENFORCERS
of its precepts upon society in general... and in fact, there's one
passage in the Bible that actually FORBIDS a person attempting to
do that. The Bible appointed NO Gestapo.

In addition, the cultists, steeped in their hateful disinformation
and propaganda as they are, quite literally ARE cultists, fully as
programmed against the acceptance of relevant FACTS that conflicts
with their false dogmas as any cultists who've ever lived. They can
thank their lucky stars that their leaders aren't overtly homicidal, or
they'd probably be in South America drinking the spiked Kool-Aid.
They are incredibly ignorant and hateful people who actually seek to
impose immense hardship upon millions of women by DENYING them
access to the remedy of abortion, and FORCING full gestation upon
them, whether they want to do that or not. Even though the Bible
speaks NOT ONE WORD against abortion, or gives them ANY
justification for being such repressive jerks. NOR does the Bible ever
defend entities of the reproductive process except for just ONCE.. in
a passage that regards a fetus to be PROPERTY, and *condones*
SLAVERY! The ignorance of the vast majority of Religious Radical
Right cultists is profound, and their agenda against many of our
individual iberties nothing short of loathesome.

And THOSE are the people who have controlled that which USED
to be, only three decades or so ago, a very sensible and level-headed
party. The FIRST thing we need to do is OUST Bush Lite at the ballot
box in 2004, and in the meantime work hard to enable fair-minded and

an OBVIOUS subversion of the election process, ABC News has NOT
yet put this report on its abcnews.com website -- even though this
evening's OTHER stories ARE detailed there. (????)

If Gore loses this election, there will be three key factors:

(1) Nader threw the election. (A circumstance, but a legal one.)
(2) A fouled-up ballot in Palm Beach County, and no *concerted*
attempt to obtain a county-wide revote to correct that.
(Legal, but very unfortunate.)
(3) The above DIRTY TRICK. (Probably legal, according to the
LETTER of the law. But it STINKS to high heaven, and proves
that the lessons of Watergate were LOST on the Republicans,
who just PROVED themselves to be lower than snakes.)

What a SHAME for America if BUSH should win, in light of this.
And if he DOES, we should remind him for the next 4 years that -- not
only did he get in via the dinosaur of the electoral college (since
he LOST the POPULAR vote) -- his thugs LITERALLY *stole* the
