We should treat human beings in accord with their ethically-relevant
characteristics.
Membership in the species _Homo sapiens_ isn't ethically-relevant.
Not all members of the species _Homo sapiens_ are persons.
IOW, not all that bear a human face are persons.
A sub-person has person-like facial traits but nonetheless is mentally
lower than many animals.
A sub-person is a biologically-seemingly-complete creation of Nature
with hands, feet, eyes, a mouth, and a kind of brain, yet is
nevertheless only a rough copy of a human person.
Only a person has a right to life.
It's no big deal to kill a being that's not a person.
IOW, it's no big deal to kill sub-persons.
It's no big deal to kill:
* sub-persons such as Terri Schindler Schiavo
* adults with Alzheimer's or Parkinson's
* infants with Down's syndrome
* unwanted pre-born human life
* other sub-persons.
The remarks above sound _very_ similar to things that Nazis and
atheism-adherent bioethicist Peter Singer have said.
That Nazi at the top of the Nazi dictatorship, Hitler, was like Singer
an atheism-adherent.

Let's do it. Here's a version of the opening post:
We should treat human beings in accord with their ethically-relevant
characteristics.
Membership in the species _Homo sapiens_ isn't ethically-relevant.
Not all members of the species _Homo sapiens_ are persons.
IOW, not all that bear a human face are persons.
A sub-person has person-like facial traits but nonetheless is mentally
lower than many animals.
A sub-person is a biologically-seemingly-complete creation of Nature
with hands, feet, eyes, a mouth, and a kind of brain, yet is
nevertheless only a rough copy of a human person.
Only a person has a right to life.
It's no big deal to kill a being that's not a person.
IOW, it's no big deal to kill sub-persons.
It's no big deal to kill:
* sub-persons such as Terri Schindler Schiavo
* adults with Alzheimer's or Parkinson's
* infants with Down's syndrome
* unwanted pre-born human life
* other sub-persons.
Short response: Come, try, die. Some shoot back.
Longer response: Others have things arranged to take as large a number
as possible with them

Simply because a late-diagnosed disease has made me disabled is no
