There were some experiments done a long time ago which purported to
show that the body weighed slightly less after death than just before,
the difference being attributable to the weight of the soul. Quackery
at its best.

Could it be the last expelled fart that causes this very minute weight
loss? Which of course would be loosed by the relaxing of the bowels
expelling fecal matter, Urine, and of course methane gases.
