It's a NEGATIVE percent - since it fails to adjust for inflation.
In real dollars, the market is down.
It goes up and down. It goes up a lot better under Dem presidents than
Repub presidents, though.
It's funny that Wall Streeters typically vote for Repubs. At least
Donald Trump is smart enough to know the score. He points out that hte
market SHOULD go up more under Republicans - but doesn't. So he
usually gives money to Dems.
He doesn't know why - he just knows Dems are better for his business.

historically does MUCH better with a Democratic President. Bush
presiding over a bad market is nothing new - for Republican
presidents.
Subtracting the "baseline" of treasury bill rates, since 1928, market
rises 11 percent a year under the dems - two percent under the repubs.
And it's true of other time frames, not just that one.
