What's dishonest is to think that Gore won Florida. Gore never had more
votes than Bush in Florida. All subsequent recounts consfirmed that. Bush
rightfully won the election and nothing you say can change those facts.

But then, you probably like the fact that republicans are systematically

As well as attempting to discern voter intent in ballots that might have been
re-examined had the recount gone forward, the study
also looked at the possible
effect of poor ballot design, voter error and
malfunctioning machines. That
secondary analysis suggests that more Florida voters
may have gone to the polls
intending to vote for Democrat Al Gore but failed to
cast a valid vote.
Also they ignored the attemt to keep 60,000 innocent black voters of
the rolls by claiming they were felons.

Um from that cite:
Use of Palm Beach County standard
Out of Palm Beach County emerged one of the least restrictive
standards for determining a valid punch-card ballot. The county
elections board determined that a chad hanging by up to two corners
was valid and that a dimple or a chad detached in only one corner
could also count if there were similar marks in other races on the

same ballot. If that standard had been adopted statewide, the study

shows a slim, 42-vote margin for Gore.
Inclusion of overvotes
In addition to undervotes, thousands of ballots in the Florida
presidential election were invalidated because they had too many
marks. This happened, for example, when a voter correctly marked a
candidate and also wrote in that candidate's name. The consortium
looked at what might have happened if a statewide recount had included

these overvotes as well and found that Gore would have had a margin

of fewer than 200 votes.
____
"Russia does not have in its possession any trustworthy data that
would support the existence of nuclear weapons on any weapons of mass
destruction in Iraq, and we have not received from our partners such
information as yet," Putin told a press conference after his recent
meetings with Tony Blair in the Russian countryside, including the
British government's recently disclosed dossier that alleges Saddam
has weapons of mass destruction that he's ready to use.

Utter *****. The polls would have closed in another hour anyway and
republicans notoriously vote early while democrats vote later. If
anything, it was Gore who lost votes in the panhandle thanks to the early
call. But you keep spouting the nonsense that Drugs Limbaugh and Groper

What universe were you living in that year? It's widely reported that
Fox called Florida for Bush many, many hours before it even began to
look like a close race.
And I think the Congressional Black Caucus can tell you about the voters

The systems haven't been tested yet. If they are using the new Diebold

Hmm. Not likely. Of course the networks calling Florida for Gore before
the polls closed there likely cost Bush 50,000 votes.

What universe were you living in that year? It's widely reported that
Fox called Florida for Bush many, many hours before it even began to
look like a close race.

And I think the Congressional Black Caucus can tell you about the
voters that were turned away from the polls that year. Or are you
saying they're all lying? 'Cuz for a bunch of liars, they were pretty
damn adamant that they were being ripped off.

What's even more interesting is the new voting system in Florida.
The systems haven't been tested yet. If they are using the new Diebold
touchscreens, then it is run using M$ software. I can't stand the
thought of a major disaster that's going to turn out to be.

Here in Florida we have been using touchscreens since 2002 and haven't had
any problems yet.

LOL!!!!!!!!!
That's why many polling places opened late and were ordered to extend
voting hours because of system problems. And, the most recent test of
the voting system was a failure. Damn, you are as out of touch with
reality as Asspry.

Maybe not then... but now they have Maggot$oft. And the newspapers just
reported that the new system hasn't been tested yet, and their server
crashed. The other complaint is that there is no hard copy output, and
no ability to do a recount if necessary.
